We went here as a family of five due to the good reviews on several sites and the great popularity even amongst the locals (who can afford it). The service was very good, when we called half a day before our dinner and all tables were already booked they could still fit us in with barely any waiting. The staff was very nice and while some don't speak English there is enough who does. Our waitress stayed around our table all the time and was happy to help us with ordering and eating. In this restaurant you definitely want to order the hot pot - as the girls in our family don't like spicy food we ordered the chengdu split hot pot with one spicy and one broth side. We also ordered meat , fish and vegetables according to the waitresses recommendation to put in the hot pot - she told us how long to cook each of the ingredients. All we had was very good, I'd especially recommend the ribeye which is cut less then 1mm thick and the mixed mushrooms. The choice of Chinese beers is not too good, but they have one a little better one which is served in a big 1L bottle, the juices which first seem expensive are sold as a 1L portion as well. The bill was a lot smaller than expected with around 60$ for 5 persons (hotpot+5 ingredients+beverages(no wine)+small desert). We would go here again.

Had an amazing hot pot dinner while watching the Sichuan Opera and Face-changing performance. Our hotel concierge booked us a table at front-center. The food quality was quite good and spicy! And the show was first-rate. Michelle Obama enjoyed hot pot here during her visit a few years ago.

We ate here twice in one weekend and it was totally worth it! We live in Shanghai so luckily I have picked up a little Chinese; the English here is pretty limited, but the servers are friendly and the menu has pictures. They are famous for Mapo Tofu, and rightly so. It is one of our favorite dishes and the version here did not disappoint. The fire is real! Also make sure to get the "dan dan mian" (noodles). All of the dishes are authentic and delicious.

The restaurant is big, like many famous restaurants there. Great local food, very delicious, though a bit costly compared with local restaurants there. It's less than RMB 200 per head to make you full with nice performance show, so still worthwhile.Remember to try roast beef.It is located near the conference centre, good for business trip.

Came here with a tour group. They served 12 courses for 10 people. This restaurant was a brilliant find as part of an organised tour of China. Cooking is based on the principles of Chinese medicine; - Health principle. Most of the dishes were not spicy. They also sere different type of wine with herbs and Ginseng. The restaurant is beautiful beautiful. Inside is a garden courtyard, with ponds, bridges and shrubs. They have lunch special for just 5 RMB- one for each table...

To be honest the food was really good, but it's so overpriced and you can find these dishes pretty much anywhere in Chengdu for a much better price. Service was surpisingly good. It only took us about 15min to receive all the food ordered. Atmosphere is non existant.

A SOPHISTICATED SICHUAN RESTAURANT IN CHENGDU Discover innovative interpretations of classic Cantonese and Sichuan fare at Li Xuan, the signature Chinese restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu. Colorful decor features vibrant flowers and brocade, inspire
Food, atmosphere and service excellent. Highly recommend it. Walk in reservations usually welcome but Iâd definitely make a reservation- especially if want to sit near the window. We had a toddler with us and staff were very accommodating. High chairs available. Staff gave us toddler friendly âhoneycomb cakeâ (like a fruit/vegetable sponge) which was a huge hit. Wine list was great and had one of our favourite french Chardonnays. We had the lamb chops, wasabi prawns, Choi sum, fish with broth, fried rice and shredded mushroom appetiser. Everything was amazing but the prawns were outstanding. Itâs a signature dish for a reason - absolutely delicious!Staff were super helperful and we had a lovely server called, maryann, who was great and spoke great English which is very helpful for non mandarin speakers. Highly recommend and quality of food fabulous Thank you very much for your time to share your experience on TripAdvisor. We are very happy that you enjoyed in our restaurant. I will make sure to share your comments with Maryann as well. Thank you very much and we hope to have you back very soon. Best regards, Ricco Liu Director of Food and Beverage The Ritz-Carlton Chengdu

Had a great night here with a friend. As 2 foreigners, we came wanting to try a famous Sichuan hotpot and that's exactly what we got. I think the staff could tell we were novices at the hotpot experience and so they really looked after us and showed us how to cook the different foods. Even though we couldn't speak the same language very well we had a great time. Thanks for having us!
