We had several dishes for dinner. Some were excellent. Such as teochew style braised goose meat, liver and feet. Quick fried thin shell clams and egg oyster omelette were also fantastic. But the others like fried sweet potato leaves and fried rice noodles (kuey teow) were oily and flat. Therefore it boils down to the ability to know what is good there and what is not.
We had lunch at this restaurant. The restaurant served excellent Teochew cuisine. The price is just right for our party of five. The room that we had was just cosy and with privacy for ourself. The staff that served us were friendly.

It is one of the older restaurants of the city located on the sea road (Haibin lu) with certain private rooms overlooking the bay area. The food is excellent. It has a picture menu making it possible to choose dishes even if you are unable to read the menu itself. Would advise going in a group of 4-5 people as the portions are quite generous and you would be able to book the private rooms. The restaurant has a second branch in the old part of the city which serves the same quality dishes and also worth visiting.
It was so yummy...u never been to Shantou if u never EAT goose meat..This restaurant is recommended by my driver Chen sifu..when we arrive, already a big crowd of tourist outside the restaurant..so worried no seats...Order was fast n u can see range of duck meat to spare parts and seafood spread to order... huge variety to feed the hungry crowd..We had duck meat, wings n liver.. the best parts is not the duck meat but the duck inner parts..liver a must have.Vegetable was super fresh n tasty..Our meal of 6 dishes cost RMB240 which was pretty reasonable..You can even vacuum pack the duck for take away...This restaurant food is so memorable to me.....
Here you can find typical shantou food. The restaurant is recommended by a supplier. Food is quite expensive. You can probably find better quality but cheaper food somewhere else. Another downside is very smoky in the restaurant and the service is bad, staffs always look somewhere else instead of looking at the customer if they need anything... They have only 1 menu the whole restaurant so you got to wait for other customers to finish reading before your turn and they won't let you in if you arrive after 7:50pm...

My late grandma used to made this special dumpling for us. So I must come here and try this Chaozhou specialty. It is very tasty. Sweet and salty blend together. Hmm. I still my grandma's dumpling.
