This restaurant showcases new Cantonese cuisine to delight the palate and senses. Six private rooms enhance the exclusivity of private dining and entertaining.
Good food, attentive service, even in English. The only topic which was a bit embarrassing (for once) was the fact, that the food arrived more or less all at once after 10 minutes. This means, after 30 minutes one could have been finished theoretically
Buffet dinner
This restaurant is HORRIBLE, I suggest to avoid it. The food is very low quality and there were not many choices especially for kids: I saw cooking pasta with GLUTAMATE!!!!! The fresh fish was full of sand, so not properly cleaned and washed...and so on.. The service was the worst thing: we arrived around 7, many tables were still empty but "booked" (even if during the whole evening they remained empty ), so the chief waiter said "sorry, no tables available". I suggested to add a small table for us (there was a lot of room in the garden, and many extra chairs available, and let going away 4 persons is not a wise decision...), they said "no". I insisted many times and then they accepted to bring a small table for us. Later they added a few more tables for other people (so my request was not so stupid!). We asked for a cup of steamed rice for my kid (who was hungry !!). We had to ask to 3 different waiters in Mandarine, in English, showing a picture on the phone. The cup of rice came after 30 min. Our dinner was awful! AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!!!

There are eggs, yogurt, susages, bread, rolls, pan cakes, croissants, fruit juices. The rest are Chinese noodles, cakes and porridge. We sat at the far end of the hall, away from the crowd. It was quieter but there was no waiter nearby to clear our plates or attend to us.Dear AXA-IndiaThank you for taking the time to share your valuable feedbackIt has come to my attention that the service you received during yourrecent stay did not meet your expectations. This restaurant offers true Cantonese flavors and has everything right. Great decor and detailed service by staff. When near the window the view of the lawn and bay are soothing. Variety of dishes is recognizable, not experimental but very well prepared and tasteful. All of the restaurants in the area operate the same way. They will take you to the live seafood market to choose what you want to eat. You can bargain with the prices a little bit but overall the restaurant employees try to get you a fair deal. If saving $10 US dollars makes for a better meal then go for it. Then you go back to the restaurant to select the vegetables you want and they will charge you very reasonable prices for the labor of cleaning and cooking all of the food. Excellent dishes! My favorite is the fried pepper salt mantis prawns!

Forget atmosphere, decor and table setting, this is local experience and comes full on. The food was delicious and the staff was as helpful as can be given the language limitations. I particularly enjoyed the wooden clothes pins used as food markers; difficult to explain but you will understand if you go. Sea urchins were a unique personal moment; given that I once stepped into a bed of them. Eating one was much easier than extraction. would recommend for lunch; the lighting was harsh at night.

Friendly and causal service. Food was ok, the restaurant lacked any form of ambience with lots of loud, poorly behaved children running around.I believe there are better Chinese restaurants in Sanya.
Xian Hai By The Sea Cantonese restaurant presents fine Chinese cuisine in its purest forma, guests can dine on a series of illuminated floating platforms. The custom designed spaces, with teak interior and rich upholstery are covered with a shaded canopy
Date of dinner: February 5, 2019Food & beverage: XianHai is one of the best Cantonese - Chinese restaurants where Iâve ever eaten. The vegetarian starters and vegetables tasted very fresh and aromatic. Especially the four-cornered beans, a Hainanese specialty, were a completely new flavor experience: somewhere between bean, mushroom, bamboo and nut... The tiger grouper fish was served in a warm and light soy sauce and its flesh was juicy and soft and a perfect match with the Hainanese green beans. The beef ribs were yummy, well cooked and tender like pulled beef. I wish the portion would have been bigger... :)Service: Our dinner took place on an exclusive and beautifully decorated float in the sea water lagoon of the EDITION hotel, a one minute private boat ride from the restaurant. The captain and the waiter were both very welcoming and and polite. Already on the very short boat ride we were offered traditional Chinese Pu Er tea and chilled fruits as refreshments. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly throughout the dinner and also tried to stay in the background to give us the best possible privacy on the float which measures approximately 20 square meters and can host up to 6 people for dinner. Location: BEAUTIFUL. A truly unique place for romantic dinners or small family gatherings. The view of the lights from the surrounding hotel facilities at night and the sea breeze are mesmerizing. Would I eat there again? - Yes, absolutely.
I was able to dine at Market during my stay at The Sanya EDITION. For two days, I enjoyed the wide spread of breakfast items at the buffet. Choices include noodles, dimsum, egg dishes, a variety of warm dishes (regional Chinese and Western), salads and fresh fruits, premium cold cuts and cheeses. My favorite is the noodle station where I usually order a bowl of beef noodle soup and a serving of bao luo fen, a Hainanese specialty dish made of rice noodles topped with picked vegetables, nuts and a thick aromatic broth. The also have a great selection of fresh fruits include the sweetest watermelon, honeydew, dragon fruit, banana and mangoes.
