Szechwan Chinese restaurant is not the neighborhood shrimp with lobster sauce, egg roll,, chow mein Americanized Chinese cuisine. This is an authentic, unusual real taste of China place. Dined there with a large family group, many of whom are ethnic Chinese. We had a large selection of dishes, many of which I was unfamiliar with. Everything was extremely well prepared, beautifully presented with a large variety of different excellent tastes. This a great dining experience.
In the Von's supermarket. I know all Panda Express have the same recipes for all their food but this one seems to execute the food a step above other Panda Express take out.
Go figure, it's one of those things that I can't get enough of. Any excuse is a good excuse to hit Panda Express. Orange Chicken is to die for. Once I made the mistake of looking at the calorie count for this dish. Luckily, I was able to wipe that information from my memory banks and continue to hit Panda Express for any even marginally good reason. PS Also love the Buddha's Delight.

I have been a patron of this restaurant since the day it opened...never and I mean never have I seen this place SO DIRTY, FILTHY and with food and trash on the tables and floor left uncleaned...the old mgr. seems to have left and the new mgr. Jesus does not seem bothered about hygeine, cleanliness of the tables, and food spilled all over the floor.. there were numerous tables left uncleaned...and this was on two separate recent visits...makes me wonder now about the cleanliness of the food and whether I am going to get infected with norovirus...for now please AVOID this place until mgt. fixes the problem...I am surprised LA health dept has not cited this facility... Horrible...

I love several chef's specialties there: water boiled fish, baked duck, bitter melon beef, and tofu salty fish with diced chicken. Some other lunch special dishes are delicious and authentic. I don't like the Americanized Chinese dishes--the meant are deep fried and seasoned with tons of sources. I usually go there with my Chinese female friends who know the real Chinese food.

We were treated here by locals and since our party was very large with many little ones, they recommended coming here because there's a little room that they block off, can close the door and accommodate us. They already warn us that this is not some fancy restaurant and that they do not have the best food around but pretty decent food, easy to order, fast for lunch and knows them well. They did all the ordering for our huge 2 tables. And yes this place is tiny and part of a motel? SO it wouldn't struck me as somewhere we'd go let alone bring people but its homey and the food wasn't bad at all especially for someone that misses some kinds of Shanghainese food. You can't get this kind of food in Texas, or many other places. So its more a homey kind of cooking, nothing fancy, simple and delicious. We liked the tofu shredded pork dish a lot. It was done very well and very much like how a true Shanghainese dish should be, very flavorful. Our kids raved about this place, funny even though we went to many better places, they still liked the dishes they tried here. We got little steamed dumplings and although done well, wasn't the best I've had but good. The price seemed really cheap because you can order straight from the lunch menu and they ordered many of those-both more American dishes to fill the kids and the more authentic ones for us. I loved the chinese vegetables here as well as all the noodle dishes. Their soup was wonderful too. Yes the dishes are small so we probably oerdered over 50 for both tables and racked up the bill but it was not bad food. I would come here again definitely if we lived here and order some of the ones we would like to eat. I can tell that the wait staff may not be the most courteous based on what I saw but that is usually the case with busy small Chinese restaurants. The restrooms were tiny, the whole place is but the food, at least some of the dishes were really tasty and left us craving more.

I can't say enough about these people. One time we needed to find--at the last minute (the same DAY)--a place to seat and feed 70 people. And they came through!!! We go here more than anywhere else because we know the food is reliably great, the service is spot on and it's so FAST. Good prices, too.

I am from Northern California with access to great dumpling shops and houses in San Francisco. Din Tai Fung definitely made me fill like I was at home. The offerings were amazing! They were artfully crafted, delicate and I couldn't wait to pop each one in my mouth! The veggie and mushroom bun was heaven. The crab and pork bao were to die for, and I absolutely loved the shrimp and pork wontons.
