Food is nice, but just a little thing need to improved. We ordered the Combo set for 4, but the Rice bowl is too small. I am not sure is this a different way to push guests to pay more - order all you can eat rice.Nice environment, pleasant light and air con.

Le Palais was definitely the best Chinese I ever had so far. The 28 days old roasted baby duck was an ala carte order-3 days in advanced. Lightly marinated with chinese herb- super crunchy outside yet the meat is extremely tender. The rack and the left over meat can be done in 3 ways- boiled with sour soup, cooked with porridge or stir fried with salt and pepper. The tasting menu in another hand came with some surprise and some dishes was kinda let down. Personally I like the fish maw soup the most follow by wok fried noodle- nicely done without any oil. The abalone and the asparagus with crab meat was not memorable- not bad but just far from my expectation from a 3 stars Michelin restaurant. The service was flawless once I stepped out from the lift, being guided by the hostess all the way to the washroom before proceed to a semi-private 4 seaters dining area. Service staff were also well-trained in the description and taste profiles of every item in the menu, and introduced the dishes in the most poetic and soothing way. While it is said that Michelin inspectors judge based on just the taste alone, I truly believe part of the reason why Le Palais works is due to its opulent décor. The ambience is so remarkable- with the best decorative material being applied and some very pretty cultural/traditional vintage pieces being displayed. The ambience is a bit dark and dim but in a good way-the central of each dining table stand out as a showcase.I am a typical Chinese uncle and I am so in love with Chinese food as I grow older and wiser. However, this was my very first attempt dining at 3 starred Chineseâ. Will I come back- oh definitely YES. For the sake of the ROASTED BABY DUCK, or perhaps I will try the roasted pork next trip...as well as the DIM SUM.Overall: 8.5/10.Dear huanyinchan,Thank you very much for visiting Palais de Chine and share your pleasant dining experience with us. We are delighted to read that you truly liked and enjoyed the experience in Le Palais and we look forward to welcoming you back again in the near future soon. Best regards.Licinio Garavaglia General Manager

This is one of the famous buffet hotpot shop and is recommended by locals. There are a few branches and it's good to make advanced reservations. Prices vary for lunch and dinner. You're given two hours to dine in, however, the time starts when you're assigned a table. You get to choose two soup bases from the five available. You also get to four choices of different cuts of meat - beef, pork, lamb, squid or shrimp paste. These can be replenished. Bring the plates on your table to get other raw ingredients, including vegetables, different types of meatballs, seafood. You can make your own dipping sauce too. Beverages choices include teas, beer, canned drinks, and many cold drinks. During my visit, rice and curry are available too. There's also various fruits, cakes and puddings. 20 choices of Movenpick and Haagen Dazs ice cream are available too. Overall, the choices make it worth your money, however, do time your meal wisely in order to enjoy desserts too.
