A huge open hanger of sorts filled with small food stalls mostly Chinese but some Thai and Malay, too. Also a drinks counter for tea, lime juice, etc. Cheap, cheap and almost cheerful. We enjoyed our lunch bought from two different stalls. A very locals affair.
This restaurant I am told is a local institution which has had many locations and in its current location which was only recently opened, is now runned by the third generation. The noodle was hand made was springy and flavoursome. There also beautifully made wonton. This was easily my favourite food dish that I ate in Kota Bharu and could eat it everyday. Thanks for your review sir.
This is a Chinese restaurant that has remained since the mid-70's. It offers grilled fish, roasted chicken wings, Chinese dim sum and decent fried rice. This place is popular among the locals and Chinese visitors to the city [especially those craving a non-halal meal]. This establishment is one of a few that have a licence to sell pork to customers from decades ago. The environment is acceptable if you're not expecting a proper restaurant. It is a corner shop with a few tenants that have their own offerings for you to chose from. The proprietor makes the drinks. Of worthy mention is the grilled fish [try the grilled sting ray with special sauce] and the roasted chicken wings. The other items are acceptable. This restaurant is not really open on Mondays with only a few stalls available.
Dynasty Chinese Restaurant with magnificient view of Kota Bharu offers classic Cantonese delicacies and serving the best Dim Sum in town.
It was all mouth watering dishes at their in house restaurant of Renaissance Hotel and with an excellent variety of Chinese selections from various corners of China to taste from ..a could try just a few dishes all well cooked .
This is an unassuming chinese restaurant that only regulars will know but it offers very sumptuous chinese food. If in doubt ask the waiter for recommendation of their signature dishes. We had plump succulent oysters on top of omelette, yam and pork soup, steamed fresh pomfret and prawns, braised duck and many more special dishes. Tip: reservations recommended as there are only 6 tables in this place.

We had lunch at the West lake eating house in september, after reading a positive review in our Lonely Planet. My boyfriend and I were very pleased with our meal. Basically, everything we tasted was delicious. After we ate a plate full of different meats and veggies, the chef (who is very nice, by the way) had us taste his roasted meats. We particularly liked the eggplant, the roasted duck and the roasted chicken.

Exactly as stated by the title. This section is a cut-out piece of land reserved mostly for the Chinese community. With trades ranging from dried-foods to hawker stalls and the typical coffee shops/houses, you would find yourself spoilt for a diversified range of food assortments. Take a walk around this road which is Jalan Kebun Sultan and allow yourself some time to sample the delights of the local delicacies with a tinge of Siamese touch in all their food. You won't regret the stroll down KB's famous food lane.

I dined here once during my stay in Kota Bharu last January-2018.It was a very satisfying dining experience. This is a Chinese restaurant and the choice of food was quiye extensive. The food arrived hot to the table and was very appetising..I encountered only one problem-service was rather slow and lunch, which should have taken, say, one hour, took considerably longer....Nevertheless the food was very appetising and I am happy to give this place 9 out of 10.
