The Mongolian tea was very good, they give us big pot of maybe 2 liters ! I can tell you after you finish it you will feel so warm and sweating. Also the snacks served with it were very succulent, the fried thick cake and the steamed dumplings good too. A good start for a good day in a cold winter.

This restaurant was recommended to us so we decided to give it a go. We returned 3 times it was that good. Extensive menu but some of the dishes we didn't like but we loved the BBQ sets which has 3 sizes, small, medium and large and it's basically grilled lamb (with bones) and an assortment of veggies served on a foiled platter with some very hot stones. Very reasonable prices. For a family of 5 (3 kids) our bill never went over RMB250! It's cheap as chips. The yak tea is also nice but a bit salty. Try the camel meat pancakes they are so yummy. The restaurant can get very smoky so get a private room upstairs and close the doors!

Food was good, but way too warm during the hot summer day. Something was definitely wrong with their Air Conditioning.
I ate very good chinese food at this place. The people was nice and they spoke very broken english. Eh.
A simple restaurant that serve nice hot pot. If you like eat mutton and beef this is a place for you. It taste really good, and do try their lamb skewers. Price wise a bit high but worth it.

I was here the first time I came to Hohhot last year. Didn't think much about the place until I visited other restaurants. Food here is great and the milk tea is the best I had in both visits to Hohhot. I had breakfast, lunch and dinner in different days during my stay this time. I would definitely come back here in my next visit to have my mild tea with tofu thingy and have some mutton and vegetables.
It is a chain restaurant but still serve good and reliably delicious dumplings. The dumplings pattern make it quite special as it is very pretty. They practice breakfast and lunch sessions separately with about 1.5 hours break between them. We arrived at 10.30 AM and the staffs were quite sour about it when we insisted to stay as we got special permission from their manager and promised that we would only order what was readily available. So, do check the opening times before going. Nice decor too.
