Fresh Meadows is located in the south part of Flushing and is bordered to the north by the Fresh Meadows Playground and Horace Harding Expressway, to the west by South Flushing and the sub-neighborhood of Hillcrest, to the east by Cunningham Park, and to the south by Union Turnpike and St. John's University. Vegetarian or not you are going to love this restaurant. I've been eating here for years and Chef Michael is a master at creating delicious cuisine. There are seasonal dishes and special new dishes. It's hard to believe that some of the dishes are not made with real meat. The restaurant has a nice clean ambience. You can often see locals dining there. And often on the weekends you will also find Buddhist Monks eating there. There is a friendly menu with photographs which are true to what you'll be ordering. There isn't a bad dish on the menu. Try the Mango Pudding dessert. It will put a smile on everyone's face. The food is strictly vegan and kosher. Parking can at times be challenging. There are meters that take 25 cents per 15 minutes, but at worst , several trips around the block will produce positive results. There is a oriental supermarket across the street that has fresh produce and again products. They have a special low priced lunch menu, and a nice selection of dim sims. Can't go wrong in this restaurant. I keep coming back. It's a unique dining experience. Not your ordinary Chinese food.

This restaurant did not get a Michelin star but was written up as a "notable" destination. On closer examination they liked the main courses, and we went for Dim Sum. Very good variety of dim sum but really poor quality.One of the many tests of a place like this are the rice noodle dishes. At their best the noodle is soft and chewy and very thin. These were thick and doughy. Congee is another test of mine and this one was thin and watery and missing the many great ingredients associated with this dish. First congee I did not finish and I have a pretty wide latitude.The food was tired, and many of the dishes had been around too long before serving, although we arrived at 11AM as the appointed hour to get the freshest dishes. We had the custard tart desserts, and although the crust was flakey and good, the custard itself was not at its freshest.We did get good chrysanthemum tea by having Siri translate it into Mandarin.

This place needs to be famous!! I went here a few times with my parents and sisters and some of my cousins!! It's SO UNBELIEVABLY GOOD!! They have like 50 different dumplings!! Every single one of them tastes so good!! They're all very flavorful and it makes me emotional!! It's like when you're kid graduates from college or you're kid gets married or your kid has a kid!! It makes you emotional!! I'm joking of course I don't usually cry!! Even if I did cry these dumplings would help me!! So this place has some of the best dumplings in the galaxy!!

So many choices! The carts keep coming around and you can try many dishes until you get full. The prices are very reasonable. We paid just over $50 for four people. Some items we had were egg custard tarts, Chinese broccoli, shrimp and veggie dumplings, veggie spring rolls, eggplant with shrimp, steam buns, and beef & shrimp in rice wrappers. We will go back! There was a line on Sunday but we got in quickly.

This is a noodle and dumpling house, but there are excellent "main course" dishes, as well as wonderful cold appetizers, such as the gluten with mushrooms and peanuts. The scallion pancake with beef is a great standout, as was the Eggplant and Stringbean dish.Of course the soupy dumplings were excellent, and we wanted just about everything we saw other folks enjoying, too.

The restaurant is in a prettily decorated place. The food was decent. I am giving it an average review, however, because, for the second time, there was a mistake on the bill in the restaurant's favor. When alerted to the problem, the manager was very apologetic. However, such a mistake twice in a row? And always in the restaurants favor?

chewy "cold skin" noodles are quite delicious and can also be ordered hot.the seasoning and texture is unique and that is why this chain of restaurantshas become so successful. Note that most locations of this chain of restaurants is no frills, self serve, and crowded. Many in food courts or basements. For an adventurous outing you can try several restaurants in the same food court and try one or two things at each one.

At Shanghai You Garden, they want you in and out as fast as possible. I'm okay with that. The more churn, the better the revenue, the better the business. That's especially true if your product is good. However, I can't say that the products (the food) are even good, which is why I was surprised at its popularity. Most of the dishes (small and large) were just mediocre.Hey, Tunaidi. We're sorry you had this impression of us. I had heard of Soup Dumplings, but never had the opportunity to experience them. A co-worker was in from out of town and we were working in Queens. He suggested this facility as he had been here years before. We shared an order of Soup Dumplings which were extraordinary for my first experience. We then shared a couple of entrees from the menu. Pleasant experience with nice staff, comfortable dining room and delicious food. I will return again with others.
