Conventional hot pot is usually eaten and shared by family members or intimate friends. Because of its communal nature, many people have health or hygiene concerns when they share it with a large group of people that they don't know so well. We used the m
If you like Hot Pot then this restaurant is an ideal place for comfortable seating, good foods and excellent services. Best of all, you can get your own hot pot and hence broth base. You can choose two different broth bases at a time but for me, one is enough. There are many dipping sauces and if you want to try new flavour and taste combination, look out for the suggestions. A good variety of meat, sea food and vegetable and they are fresh and good quality. The place is spacious, clean and tastefully Chinese decorated. Service staffs are friendly, helpfull and very attentive. They make you feel being looked after all the time. It is best to book in advance unless you do not mind waiting to be seated.
Been there twice now and was really surprised that there wasnât a long queue as when it first opened. The food was good, dumplings well cooked and the servings were quite generous.Love their crockery too. Good place for nice food at a decent price. Donât be deceived by the size of the restaurant, there are tables at the back too which caters to groups.

Been here a couple of times. The braised pork belly is always a hit as is the pork buns. The place can get a bit crowded so booking is recommended. Best to go in a group so you can try a variety of dishes. They have recently extended too - so there is more room which minimises the waiting time. Not on the cheap side, mains are around $30. Two courses and an entree would cost around $30 per person.
We didn't stop to eat a meal here. We call this part of Sydney 'China town' as a generalisation. In fact the Brush Farm side of the railway is more Chinese / Taiwanese and the other side of the tracks is Korean. Have dined both sides and the menus are generally in local language only with minimal English. However, what we love about this little place is that, facing onto the street is a booth selling the most amazing custard-filled pastries (or whatever they are!!). Having lived in the area a few weeks it was a regular stop-off to buy such a dessert - the custard being chocolate, cheese, even green tea and other besides) - and they are tasty! $13 gets to 6 and $17 buys you 9 - or something like that. Don't visit with kids - they will pester you for more!! The girl serving was so welcoming and genuinely interested and friendly and because we had to wait for less than a minute as she was doing other duties we popped an extra one in the bag as a consolation which was very sweet and unnecessary. Do not go to Eastwood shopping centre without sampling these amazing desserts!
I really loved the vibe here. The staff are very friendly and relaxed, making us feel very welcome. The food was good and reasonably priced. I would come back again.

Ordered dinner for 4 adults over the phone and meal ready within 20 minutes or so. Staff were pleasant and friendly when picking up order, but very difficult to understand. Couldn't check order as they had written it in Chinese !! Everything was good but nothing outstanding - typical Aussie Chinese food. Nevertheless, everyone was happy with the meals we ordered. Bill came to $62 with 2 shared entrees, three main meals and a fried rice so was reasonable value. And there were leftovers for the next day so plenty of food.

The Eastwood BBQ Kitchen is one of several such Chinese restaurants in Eastwood; this one specializing in traditional Peking roast duck. They have a full line-up of Chinese fare, which can be enjoyed at the restaurant or take-away. The staff is very friendly and attentive! Prices are very reasonable.
Tucked away in the arcade this little cake shop makes the best mango and cream cakes. Been buying them for years and consistently impressed. All other smaller baked varieties are well worth trying while out shopping in Eastwood. Staff always happy to take orders and never fail to deliver as promised.

This was my 3rd visit to this restaurant in as many years. From the 1st visit to this time, it would appear that the food standard has really declined. We were a party of 13 adults + 1 toddler and ordered scallops, peking ducks with sang choy pow, whole steamed murray cod with ginger and shallots, salted egg prawns, fried tofu with mushrooms and veg, snow pea shoots, and sizzling beef. We had a double serving of everything because of the number in our group, spread out over 2 tables. There was a problem with each dish with it being either under-seasoned, overcooked, undercooked or just being underwhelming. The only decent dish was the sizzling beef which was quite tender and tasty. To make matters worse, we were charged $3.50 per person for rice when all we had in TOTAL were the 2 standard rice urns, one pot per table. The rice tab alone came to $45.50! That's equivalent to about 4 packs of rice at the supermarket. On the positive side, the service was very good, and had been that way as well on our last 2 visits. It was also a Saturday lunchtime and the restaurant was quite full which could indicate that the restaurant could deliver some dishes better than ours. Not sure if we'll go another time in future. The last 2 mediocre experiences and the steep prices would deter me.
