I was invited to join friends. I thought it was a good choice. The service is pleasant and friendly. The food came surprisingly quick. The atmosphere is quite nice, a typical Chinese restaurant. It is in the mall, parking is easy. The food was good, kind of typical. The price for standard items such as sweet and sour was reasonable.
Terrific little place for some authentic and original vietnamese dishes . Starter was Peking duck in pastry , very fresh and delicious . All other standard entree looked nice . For main meal we had Vermicelli with roast pork, bbq pork and pork sausage and other main was chicken with lemon grass and chilli. Both meals we shared were fresh and full flavoured . Large plates so we had to take home left overs which were enough for another meal . Good for couples and friends for quick easy and tasty cheap meals. Beer was cheap $3 local beer stubbies and around $5 for imported

Very tasty and delicious foods. A wide selection of awesome take away with great service. Idea to phone your order ahead of time as Wokd is very popular and busy. Fantastic to watch your meals being prepared by some very talented chefs. We just keep coming back. Thankyou

The Staff and owner Anita aim to make your visit the best experience of asian food you can find, The food is fresh and the mood is vibrant the fried chicken is a standout as is the sea scallops wrapped in prawn meat. But here the food is very good check out things like crocodile and ask what specials they have.

Sought this place out on a recommendation from friends, and not disappointed. Arrived at lunchtime on a Sunday and the place was hopping; only had to wait 5 mins. Seated and offered drinks immediately: faultless service. The yum cha trolleys wafted past continually, and despite the fact that we were just about the only non-Chinese in this massive place, all staff spoke very good english and were most helpful. The standard of food was exceptional, the best we'd ever had, and we've had a few yum chas. The best for me was the unctuous, hot tofu in a sweet ginger syrup, spooned carefully out of a huge pot. For husband the highlight was the scallop dumplings which were indeed award-winning.Faultless service, excellent food, and a busy family atmosphere made for a great lunch. Not cheap, but you get quality for your money. We asked for a take-away container for leftovers and it arrived immediately. Very impressed with the whole experience.

A Group function = A CelebrationStaff/Service/Food = AverageStaff were unfriendly/unhappy.Service was very slow, people on our table got their mains long after the rest had finished their's.Staff were unhappy to be told that everyone's soup was almost cold.We wanted the banquet, to change the main (allergy to seafood) happy to pay the extra, answer was a blunt No!I suppose if you have an allergy, don't eat here. The food quality was average Prices high.Never paid over $20 for a small serve of Beef in black bean. They had a group of us paying they made no attempt to accommodate. They want our money, they got it.If they're relying on reputation, sorry they fall flat.By the way, the men's restroom was so small, I had to walk in sideways to get into the cubicle, a restaurant of this size.I won't be coming back.I will recommend the Happy Phoneix Chinese Restaurant. They're not pretentious like thisplace.

I've been frequenting this 'odd' restaurant for years and years. It's odd per its entry being at the rear lane behind Springvale Road. Staff is very functional and possibly better now as younger staff who speak 'strine' and less in your face.In years past, it was one of the goto places for 'asian/chinese/vietnamese'. Good food at reasonable prices and quantity to suit the plethora of university students and locals. It is constantly busy. Needless to say, they have done remarkably well as a business. The last few years have seen a notable shift in thinking. The owners are seeking to maximise via alternative substitutes either for cost or convenience. One such is the replacement of fresh rice noodles in some dishes with the reconstitute variety. Acceptable but not the best. Elements of change also evident in other dishes if you are a frequent customer.Overall still very good and yummy but realistically no longer up there YMMV
