I don't like bagging places but unfortunately if you're affected by MSG give this place a miss.I hadn't been there for a couple of years (I much prefer another establishment - see another review of mine) but went there for lunch last week for lunch. This is an "all-you-can-eat" self-serve smorgasbord.Depending when you visit I guess, the choices can be quite limited with all the popular dishes empty. Not exaggerating, there were a couple of people standing around waiting for the chef to replenish the food for 15 minutes. The food tastes good but it's packed with MSG and I suffered for the next 4 or so hours. I won't be going back again, ever!If you're not affected by MSG, and you have time to wait for the food give it 4 stars.
It goes to show that you don't have to have a huge restaurant to have great food. The place is very small, & basically decorated, but the food that comes out of the tiny kitchen is fabulous. You have to go through the kitchen to use the bathroom, so you can see it is very clean. The banquets are great. We mainly get takeaway, but this is the only Chinese Restaurant we go to in Bathurst
Every town has one of these places - familiar menu, good value but not bristling with memorable food flavours. And this place is like many others. We bought take away to feed a hungry family during a night's stopover from Dubbo to Sydney.Colourful local staff ("there you go darlin'") made the experience easy and comforting. The food? Each dish seemed to taste largely the same but it did the job.Mr Wong this isn't - but it doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is.

3 lunch specials and 3 cans of drink, all for $30.00.Service was quick, food was good, the chef was very happy.Lunch specials include a choice from most (not all) of the favourites with either Fried or Boiled Rice.I'd be happy to go back.

Usually get take away, dined in on this occasion. Newly refurbished and the food as always sensational. We had Satay chicken for entree, lovely chicken smothered wonderful satay paste. Sensational Honey King Prawns, but the stand out dish, Combination Hot Pot, full of yummy chicken, beef, prawns, pork, and vegetables. If you also like Salt & Peeper squid or prawns or rainbow chicken fillets hot wok Thai style, these dishes are the best i have tried anywhere. Portions are huge so bring your appetite. Fully licensed good service and reasonably priced.

Good quality food at a good price. Weâve been having meals at the Great Wall for over 20 years, for just our family, for birthdays and functions where you can hire a separate room to yourselves. They have a lunch time buffet which we havenât used for many years but it used to be fantastic and Iâm sure it remains so. We had takeaway tonight and it was excellent. Plenty of parking behind and beside the restaurant and on the street.

Harry and his wife Sue are proprietors of the Chinese inn and always make us feel welcome. This is a family place with their own children in the restaurant a lot of the time, you feel like you're visiting friends. Lunch time specials are cheap, tasty and filling.Excellent value. The Ritz it's not, but you will have good food served quickly and with enough to fill you up.We go there all the time,it's kind of our go to place for quick lunchtime meal.

We ordered Chicken Chow Mein and chicken and vegetables and they were ok, but nothing spectacular, there are other better options in Bathurst so I won't be back.

Tried here as the always reliable and excellent Golden Paradise was shut for a vacation. The only saving grace were the dim sim. The Main Spicy Combination had only a few prawns the pork inedible it was so tough and chewy, The spicy sauce was like sump oil thick gluggy and the flavour way too strong and spoiled the meal entirely. We dropped into Chefs Li for lunch on our way to Orange. The ambience was welcoming with white tablecloths on the tables . We enjoyed our wonton soups which were very tasty however the prawn dishes were average. Overall - nice warm friendly staff, food pretty good for a country style Chinese.
