Things to do in Ayer Keroh
Portuguese baked soyfish, Rendang curry, sweet sour dishes, tom yam flavour, steamed dishes. Air-conditioned space near Malacca Multimedia University (Petronas Petrol Station).
i like the Portuguese fish. Its taste like "real" fish. Except that, other dishes is good as well. Not that oily. And food is fresh. Environment is good.Thank you. Please come again.
i was turning circles in Jalan Emas estate looking for a local coffee shop when i chanced upon this charming little eatery. I was going to drive out of the area when i saw a little wooden set-up under a tree and people were eating there. i had to check it out.Even though the noon sun was scorching hot, coming inside the stall almost so hidden amongst the greenery with all the breeze, was pretty comforting.Despite the fact that everything looks very make-shift here, it had a very welcoming feeling. Their menu was just a marker hand-written board, tables and benches were wooden planks being put together. You can tell that everything was being built and organised with a lot of thoughts. i was very drawn to it.i ordered my noodles and had their speciality dumplings which had century egg in it. The noodles were well cooked to the tooth with that "bounce" that i like, and the sauce was simple yet flavourful. But the killer dish were the dumplings with century egg. Yummmmmz, the century egg really give the dumplings another dimension which i never quite imagine. Many locals come here and i like how familiar faces greeted each other at this simple noodles place. The stall owners were very hospitable especially when they knew that i wasn't from here. They were patient in introducing the different noodles that they had to me - pumpkin and spinach noodles were their two special noodles. But i was happy to just stick to the traditional egg noodles. Always a good old regular favourite to try a new stall i have never been before.A very memorable off the beaten track find which i will revisit again.

The restaurant is located inside the City Bayview Hotel. I was driving around and looking for a shop lot :)Food was great especially the salted egg lotus root. We ordered twice as someone else offered to paying :) I couldn't find anything bad to say. My hot spicy chicken noodle was awesome. Service was OK too. Will not hesitate to recommend. Mom already planning to go back for the porridge. Cheers!Hello CuteMonster,Thank you for reviewing us here in Trip Advisor. Surrounded by greenery and ponds, this restaurant offer a wide range of Malay and local dishes at affordable prices. The siakap fish in tom yam sauce is delicious as are the friend squid and spicy savory cereal prawns!
Usually whenever we travel to Malacca, we would indefinitely end up in Jonker Street for lunch despite the traffic and parking madness. This time round, we decided to go off the beaten track a little bit and landed ourselves in Bukit Beruang. We came to know about this duck noodle stall from a local food blogger. We were here early and well before 12pm so there wasn't really much of a crowd & parking was easy. The duck noodle stall was operated by a very friendly elderly couple (Richard Tay). We ordered both variants of the duck noodle, dry and soup. The dry version basically comes with the same soup base but in a separate bowl. The soup was lovely and reminded us of the Maggi instant duck noodle but without the preservatives. The duck meat was tender and tasty too.According to the Richard, the restaurant is always full during breakfast hours. They operate daily from 7:30am to 2pm. Price was reasonable, service was friendly, ambience was typical of a chinese coffe shop & the noodle was unique and tasty. Already planning our next visit here.

We came after reading positive reviews. It's easy to find parking. Decor is reasonably comfortable and staff were quite polite. Menu is only in Chinese but you can point at the pictures. We ordered prawn balls, potato leaf in belacan and ma po tofu. Waiting time was quite long. Food was okay but unspectacular. Decent overall.
