Reviews on Central-Italian food in Pisa, Province of Pisa, Italy. Go ahead and take that photo of yourself with a tilted hand "holding up" the Tower of Pisa. We won't tell; your rep as a sophisticated traveler will remain unblemished. Now that you've gotten that out of the way, climb the tower's 300 steps for a tilted view, or visit the National Museum of San Matteo and the Camposanto cemetery.

A real gem of a place, tucked away round the corner just off the main shopping street. My salad was excellent, as was the creme brulee I had for dessert. Good service and fair prices. Would definitely recommend.

This place has a nautical theme, including pirate flags. I was a little worried that it was a biker bar but apparently not. Foccacio was good, did not try rest of menu. Service a bit lax but friendly enough.

Family run restaurant specialized in traditional Tuscan dishes
Came across this restaurant after we had climbed to the top of the leaning tower of Pisa- we were pretty hungry. We got the last table - which was inside. There is seating both in and outside. Service was efficient and friendly. The atmosphere was nice not too noisy. The food was delicious- my pasta was the best I think Iâve ever had. Portion size for me was fine - if you have a big appetite you would probably think it on the small side. If I go back to Pisa I will definitely search out this restaurant again.

This gem is just near where we are staying. Wonderful food and lovely quiet, local hospitality from the husband and wife team. The slow food antipasto was full of taste sensations. The beef with black truffle and Pecorino was fabulous as was the Filatelli Calabresi Njuda pasta dish. We also had a lovely refreshing salad with a bottle of delicious dry white wine recommended by the knowledgeable owner. My husband, daughter and I finished the special meal with 3 spectacular desserts: Lemon curd on a shortcrust pastry, Ricotta cheesecake and a typical Apulian crust pastry with custard and chocolate. The latter 2 came with a fabulous bitter chocolate sauce. Bellisimo!

The staff are so helpful and friendly, the food is fabulous and the ambiance just perfect. Everything is eco friendly from fully biodegradable cutlery and plates to organic wine and with every cover a contribution to TREEDOM is made. I have food allergies and the menu fully listed all options with a number system and index at the back so all food issues sensitively considered. I definitely recommend you pay a visit. reservations recommended as it is popular.

Sanwiches - plates - cakes - wine
We found this sandwich shop a short walk from the main attractions in Pisa. Very friendly staff, great selection of tasty sandwiches, nice choice of wines. We had the vegetarian and the Porchetta with Brie, the â¬4.50 recommended wine was delicious. You can take away or eat in, no extra charge, we highly recommend this restaurant for lunch.

fresh pasta produced by us and cooked to eat on site or take away, second courses of the Pisan tradition, fresh carpaccio of chianina meat, raw salmon, fresh tuna. chef's salads, vegan, vegetarian, chicken, sea, cheese.
Had the ragu and the pasta with ricotta and eggplant. Lovely friendly service, price cannot be beaten (at â¬5 each). The pasta was cooked to perfection, however I found the sauce a too salty for my liking. Definitely worth a stop on the way back from leaning tower.

This is a real gem! It's a specialist place for Italian cured meats. We had the mixed platter for two and it was fantastic. Best I've tasted! And since less common varieties as well. Staff were really friendly. He even went next door to get my wife some hot water! Now that's service. A must try if you can in Pisa.
