At this place, you get good value for money. Simple but tasty dishes at low prices. It is not open until very late. It is called 'the lunch cafe', which is an indication that they focus on lunch type dishes. The lunch plate of eggs with loads of mushrooms is very nice.

A new day is dawning. But wait, before it starts, letâs just wake up gently with the perfect cup of coffee and a crispy croissant. Maybe even with some fresh-pressed orange juice, or a soft-boiled egg. This is your by Juuls moment. Now you are ready to ta
We always go to Verdi but this evening we wanted to try something new. Our decision fell on Roost because it looked cozy on the terrace when we passed. We booked a table and sat down grabbing a drink at Verdi, before heading over to Roost. The menu had a big variation fish, steaks, pasta, burgers and more. We had a starter platter to share between us. On the platter you had mackerel, tuna and pulled pork pasta, salami slices, Parma ham, bread. It was nicely served and decorated.Main dish we had was one dish with shrimp spicy and 3 tornadoes. It was all very tasty and good. For the food plus 4 glasses of wine, a bottle of sparkling water and 2 bears, we payed 150 euros.I would definitely come back to this place to try one of the other dishes

Went here this week with three colleagues. It was absolutely delicious. Especially the scallop starter I had. Perfectly cooked. The menu was in Dutch but the waitress was able to explain it in perfect English. The service was great and the chef even came around during our mains to check everything was OK. Hope to go again soon.

Situated on the corner of the Manteling nature park and woods, the Boschhoek is just a stone's throw away from one of Europe's most beautiful beaches. Whether you sit in the grape-vine shade of our terrace, inside the snug café-bar or enjoy the use of our
De terrace of the Boschhoek is always alive, it's open until late at night and has a warm atmosphere. During winter the terrace is heated and in summer grape vines make the roof lush green. The 'forest midget golf' in the back of the place is good fun during summer. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that the food served at the Boschhoek is delicious!

For diners who may be skeptical about eating in their hotel and who may want to explore Middelburg, this restaurant has excellent dishes served in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere by charming staff and with a very extensive wine list. What more would you want after an arduous day on the beach. If you book ahead, try to get one of the booths by the window. Our stay included Saturday, when they have a buffet, yet we still chose to eat from the main menu as we preferred the choice of dishes and we were very satisfied. Prices are comparable to good restaurants in town too - no price hikes for captive audience.

We started off a bit on the wrong foot as they couldn't find our booking and seemed flustered, and I was flustered because I didn't see why it mattered given that they had many tables available. Things improved from there. Someone helpfully explained the entire menu (which was in Dutch!). We settled on mussels nature, which came in a huge traditional pot with frites and sauce. We also had the shrimp croquettes and one order of bread with herbed butter. Everything came out at the same time and was fresh and delicious. The mussels weren't the best I've ever had - I thought the broth was too salty and too oniony - maybe the could have had more options (there were two - nature (the one we took) and garlic and cream. But they were good, and it was (almost) season, so we were happy with the choice. The rest of the food was fresh and delicious too. With drinks, I think it came to around 55-60 EUR. Very reasonable. And one of the server spoke Spanish (which my husband also speaks) - this simplified things as English wasn't getting much traction. A nice location with free 1.5 hour parking. Recommended!

It's what I would call a gastro pub.But the quality of the food and most especially the waitress who was so good and attentive to all the customers. The food was very good, well served, and the desert was so good. The wine was well priced. Overall a very nice surprise. One to remember!

Took friends here for lunch it was our third visit. Previously we had found staff friendly and helpful. A table was found no problem and we sat inside. This visit however the staff were unhelpful. We were told we could not sit inside although there were tables free. A table was arranged outside, luckily the rain held off. Service was very slow. So we will be reluctant to visit again.

Lovely seafood restaurant set near the beach. A beautiful interior coupled with lovely and professional staff serving first class food. The seafood platter was great with a variety of warm and cold mussels, oysters, shrimps... and a fresh half lobster. The croquettes and pork were excellent too.The place does get busy so can get quite noisy.
