The Gebhard restaurant is a welcome variation to the usual Austrian restaurants. The service is excellent. The food is well prepared and served with care. Not the 'usual' food but well balanced tasteful dishes prepared with fresh materials. The menu is somewhat restricted with 2 appetizers and 2 soups and a couple of main dishes. There is more variation in the desserts. They are equally nice. They carry a nice selection of wines with great suggestions to match the food, also for wine by the glass. Cost is 70 to 75 euro per person for 3 courses with drinks. Reservations are needed as the have less capacity when the hotel is full.

Slightly off the main thoroughfare and still quite busy, which is often a good sign. The clear soup with pancake was fine but smaller than many; the garlic cream soup was very nice and is seriously creamy. The fitness salad was a little basic and the Tirolean potato / beef / bacon dish with an egg on top had a lot of oil / grease which meant it was heavy going. The service was good, but the food was a disappointment overall.

Tradition and Tyrolean hospitality in a personal and cozy Atmosphareim Otztal Front!
Looking at the rstaurant from the outside and their menu, we had quite some expectations. The kitchen is tipically Austrian and after enjoying the italian cuisine for several weeks, we tried both the famous schnitzel as well as a cordon bleu. The quantity is huge, but the quality is not more than average. It looked like the schnitzel was just fried in the pan instead of prepared like it should be.The staff is very friendly and the value for money is good. Only becuse of the staff, i rated the restaurant with 4 stars, the food is only average.

These spots need to be preserved for future generations. Located at the foot of the Ladis Castle, this restaurant had not seen any changes in decor or ambiance over last 50 odd years. Warm welcome, dated interior that every visitor accepts as being part of the deal and really nice food. Great white wine (Grüne Veltlinger!!).Prices are fair.
We ate steak sandwich and steak. The sandwich was excellent and for 16 euros good quality /price . The bigger steak was equally good but a little too expensive. All in all we enjoyed the evening. Service was good. The wine was good. The bill came to 70euros for 3. There is a lunch menu different every day.

Actually we knew the Trofana before, but were never much interested in high way restaurants. Anyway, we stopped and had, surprisingly, excellent food in the little restaurant in tyrolean style. Again surprisingly, the service was friendly and quick, which contributed to an all in all very pleasant lunch. So if to stop on the highway in Tyrol, this might be a good opportunity, if you are not disturbed by too much "Kitsch" and too many tourist busses.

Hidden around a corner between 2 hotel's ,this little takeaway/stubben bar is a real find for reasonably priced food and drinks, some basic but very comfortable out side seating, not ideal for toddlers but on a quiet slip road ,some undercover outside seating, ideal for thoses rainy warm summer evenings, steps into bar /restaurant.Food has been very good here so far and we found the children's menu well priced and suitable for our little ones, eating outside also means you don't have to worry so much about mess and noise.Staff are great here,Excellent takeaway /pizza.

As we checked into our hotel too late, the hotel restaurant was already fully booked. So they advised us to go to "The Egger Lounge" for dinner (3 mins walk). It was a Sunday night, so we were told not to go too late (meaning before 18:30) otherwise we would not get dinner anymore. Seems most places in Jerzens close early on Sundays. After driving 12 hours, we just wanted to have a quick dinner and chose an Almburger with fries. The Burger was OK and the fries were good. The price was right too (11.50 euro for the burger).

We went in a group of 10 and were given a table in the corner. It was a very cosy and typical Austria chalet feel. The host greeted us as old friends and spoke good English. Food was outstanding and every one of our group had an excellent meal without exception. Host kept the water topped up and even gave us complimentary snapps.
