Treat yourself to some exquisite cuisine in the glasshouse. On the ground floor you will find a large bar, dark furniture, beautifully laid tables, modern lighting and warm colours. In the summer why not stop for a coffee break out on the sun deck or in t
Nice looking cafe. Friendly service. We had the burger, the business lunch set and the buffet. Burger looked ok, the buffet was limited in choice and the business lunch set was not too appealing. Appetizer was deep fried but it came cold, dry and hard. The main course was a white fish set a bed of white carbo. (White on white). Was expecting more from this hotel cafe.

Food is Schwäbisch ok: But not as outstanding as the flair and prices intent. Very centra located, but you will find better locations around.

It should be a 3.5. Actually, we went there as a group and I had read the reviews before, so I did not expect a lot! But I cannot confirm the poor reviews concerning the service and staff. They were very friendly and accommodated us exactly the right way!Unfortunately, the food was average only. The pizzas just OK, noting special. The cannelloni were even cold inside; the good thing were the antipasti and the carmelli. But still, due to the friendly people, we had a nice evening. Prices are fair.

Stylish restaurant in my hometown that once gained popularity for being the only pace in Tübingen to serve sushi. Itâs a bit hidden in an industrial area.Service is friendly, great cocktails and very good food. I would advise not to eat the sushi though if you are a sushi lover, you might be disappointed. The other food is delicious. Try the fish soup or the lamb.Itâs the perfect place to sit on the terrace on a warm summer night, I love the lounge atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable.

We took the set menu, since it seemed enough interesting and diverse. The asparagus and salmon appetizer was a bit bland and had no real identity, when the wild garlic soup with shrimp was fantastic, probably the highlight of the whole meal. For the main dish they served a well prepared beef fillet, however the side dish made of beans and red pepper was subpar. Peppers took over the whole dish and the structure of the 'beans polenta' was simply wrong. The warm goat cheese dish was OK, probably too heavy after such a strong meat dish. And they forgot to refill the bread basket. As dessert we were served rhubarb strudel with vanilla ice cream. The strudel was very good, it seemed to be made with a special 'grandma' touch. There was nothing wrong with the ice cream, but I couldn't shake the feeling that they simply bought it in EDEKA or LIDL. It's perfectly good ice cream, but such a manner seems a bit 'shallow' for an establishment as Waldhorn. The staff is relaxed and competent, but lacks some knowledge of wine pairing. Perhaps they could be slightly more attentive. Because of very poor wine suggestions, I cannot judge their wine selection. It is not about the wine list itself, it's all about what the waiter or the sommelier does with it! The atmosphere is nice, very pleasant, the interior is classic, yet charmingly in touch with the upper-scale dinning. In short, we are not German, so it was only average for us, and definitely not worth of a Michelin star, but it is very much above average by the German standards. And it seems reliable in the consistency of the quality.

This place is large and on several floors with indoor/outside areas. Tubingen is a university town and so there are lots of students. They have taken that into account and so the prices are low and the portions huge! The quality was also good and we had a pleasant evening trying their beers - they even have a special tasting menu - and watching the boats go by. A nice spot and very popular. Good, friendly service.

Some of the restaurant staff were friendlier than others, tried the beef hot pot with Swabian noodles and was not impressed. Some reviews of the restaurant were very positive, I think maybe the standard is just different! I personally will not return.
