A lovely cafe, situated right on the water's edge, with stunning views across the Chiemsee. We only had afternoon tea there, but the Apple Strudel was the best we have ever tasted................and we have tasted a lot! On top of that, the service was very friendly and efficient. We did have a look at the menu and everything seemed to be good value for money - our strudel certainly was not expensive.

There is plenty of seating in the recently renovated restaurant that has been in business for ages. The staff is diligent, courteous and professional. They offer traditional local meals as well as international cuisine and always meats from their own Butcher shop. Naturally they offer a good variety of locally brewed Bavarian beers and spirits and very reasonable prices.

nach einer Wanderung kamen wir zu diesem netten Lokal, herrlich auf der Terasse im Schatten uns zu erholen bei einem wunderbaren Kuchen und Johannisbeerschorle.Selbstgebackener Kuchen in groÃer Auswahl ist schon was herrliches.

Serves very good Bavarian food. Great and friendly service. I enjoyed my trout. It was very convienent since we stayed at the B&B and didn't want to travel too far for food.

Business trip staying for one night in this hotel small Bavarian village. Really lovely hotel and very modern/clean bedrooms. Staff in the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly, although English was not greatly spoken (minor issue because people wanted to help)Also had dinner in the outside beer garden which was a lovely atmosphere with great food (and beer).

Feinschmeckerrestaurant im Gut Ising. Genauer im Gebäude des Restaurants Goldener Pfliug. Eingang zur StraÃenseite. Innen unerwartet rustikale Bestuhlung.

Was invited to have dinner. What a beautiful place, very traditional beer garden style benches. An amazing selection of craft beers brewed there. It's also a brewery. Amazing views of the river passing by. The food is local Bavarian very tasty and filling. Salads are very good too. And it's amazing value.

When we arrived we were thrown a menu. When we asked the waitress if there was a menu in English she just barked

What could be more beautiful than a large beautiful terrace of a fully glazed stylish restaurant offering a million-dollar-view of stunning Lake Chiemsee and the alpine beauty of southern Bavaria. All this is the case of this hotel-restaurant-coffeehouse place near Prien/Seebruck, popular with wedding celebrations, at least on weekends in summer. The place offers direct access to the lake, there is ample parking available and there is even a spacious handicap bathroom in the main lobby, often a rarity in Germany. All is good one would imagine if it wouldn't be for the seriously bad service. Our waiter (Bulgaria/Slowakia/Albania?) was borderline rude, untrained, and stressed out, and couldn't have rushed us more to make our choices. Too bad, such service ruins everything.

This is one of those places that conquer you with the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff alone. On top of that we had the most delicious soup (very creative sweet potato and chili), a very nice fish salad and a perfectly cooked beef with truffels. The wine was very decent as well. Only falter is that the beef was on the hard side. Recommended.
