Spent time in Brig, Switzerland and went to this restaurant on our last night in Switzerland for supper. The best decision we made for supper this far on holiday.Warm atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff.Food prepared with care and delivered quickly to our table. The portions are big and filling. If in Brig, this is the restaurant to go to.

You feel as if you were sitting in a real Parisian Brasserie. No detail has been neglected with the decor. Whether you are planning a romantic date, an informal meal amongst friends or a formal banquet for up to 40 people - we are looking forward to fulfi
Had dinner here as part of our organized tour, and it didn't disappoint--a delicious beef main with a wonderful red wine sauce--truly melt in your mouth. The pineapple ravioli stuffed with marscapone was one of the most memorable desserts I've ever had. Clearly the chefs have incredible skills and the staff worked incredibly hard to serve our large group at the same time. Highly recommend!Dear BlndgenieFirst of all, we would like to thank you for having taken the time to share your experience at our Restaurant les Cheminots with the TripAvisor community. It is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback. I will share your comments with our team and our Chef Cook Patric Winkler, who I am certain will be encouraged by your remarks !Looking forward to the pleasure of welcoming you back soon to our Hotel Ambassador and Restaurant Les Cheminots. Sincerely, Sébastien Martre

Welcoming guests from all over the world at our chalet in the middle of the heart of the old town in Brig gives us great joy everyday. Great traditional food and drinks at a fair without frills has been our guiding principals at Steakhouse Eidgenossen for
Nice to sit out on the square. It was busy outside but service was good.I ate an excellent pork with cream/mushrooms served with pasta. My partner had the mixed grill. Both dishes were great, we followed up with ice-cream and a less than impressive cheeseboard. All in all an excellent evening, but skip the cheeseboard.Expensive to us but about average by Swiss standards.

Stopped as a party of five while going back home.Classy dining room with a great view.Food was very good..Started with an excellent salad. The steak tartare was also very good.Lovely desserts.A great place which does justice to Swiss hospitality.Owners and chef shook our hands and thanked us for coming.A sign of respect for customers which is rarely seen today.A good stop if going via the Simplon.

Small restaurant (early reservation mandatory!) with a short but very tasty menu, with special dishes that you won't find in any other restaurant in Bettmeralp. Great mix of traditional and nouvelle cuisine. And the Glacktricka team is extremely friendly, creating a sort of familial atmosphere among the guests.

We booked a room to join friends for a couple of days who were already staying there. We were offered a pricey room (over 300.-) and on arrival were really disappointed with the tired and old fashioned (35 year) furniture, bedding, bathrooms (broken WC seat, broken bin) etc. WIFI is also not brilliant. There is a beautiful-sized sitting room under the eaves, but soooo tired and old fashioned, it's where the WiFi works best, but it's so dreary you wouldn't want to spend more time than necessary there. The food was ok. I've had much better half-board, spring rolls or bruschetta for starters, in a Swiss alpine restaurant in winter??? The meat fondue was fine, but tiny portions of meat and filling us up with potatoes... Even in the regular restaurant, tiny portions of Wallis specialities, compared to where we had lunch on the ski trails. I think this is a hotel which can be fine for the cheaper rooms, but for 10 francs more we could have been in the five star, new, with spa, hotel just up the road. Everything seems to be a bit too much trouble for the owner (the pick-up at the cable car was so unwelcoming and unfriendly, no smile, just irritation), which is a shame as he is in the hospitality business. Some of the serving personnel can barely speak German and service turns out to be a bit brusque and almost rude, despite it probably only being a language problem. They realised they'd forgotten a bottle of wine after we left and sent the bill on to us a week later... Not brilliant publicity. We'll not be returning as it was far too expensive for what we got. I think family deals or the dependence for young skiers are probably ok though.

Bergrestaurant, Skihütte
Went twice in the same week! First time we planned for a great mid-day dinner with dessert. We were not disappointed. My husband and I, both chose the Walliser Steak. It was delicious, the cooking was perfect. Following that my husband had an awesome brownie and ice cream dish and I had an ice cream dish with a carmel liquified sauce on it. Wow!The second time we drank hot chocolate with Bailey's in it. Yummy. The setting in the middle of the ski run (winter) and mid-way in the hiking up or down the mountian (summer) is dazzeling! Our experience has been this summer and we could see the peaks of other mountians in the Alps. There are a couple of goats in a large grass pen that children can pet. There are bunnies too. I witnessed the goats and bunnies being taken care of so beautifully. Those are definitely happy critters. As we walk along the path we passed through a group of cows grazing. The cows were wearing traditional cow bells. As a tourist, this is a perfect place to stop and enjoy a traditional Swiss meal and even a dessert that the managers developed. Managers Tobias and Andy made sure our service was tops. The prices very fair in Swiss standards. If you are planning to eat out in Reideralp, go for Chue Stall!

We had dinner at the Alpina during peak season. Leading with the good news: despite the restaurant being quite busy, we were served timely and very friendly. The bad news: the food was terrible. Undercooked schnitzel, undercooked rice with overcooked vegetables. Despite the good service, not eating there again. (the two- instead of one-star is really only thanks to the good service)

Once we discovered this restaurant, we didn't look back. Doesn't compare to anything else in the vicinity. The only other restaurant of comparable quality in Riederalp is located at the other end of the village, so depending on the location of your hotel you can choose to visit one or the other, if you want to stay within reasonable walking distance after a long day on the slopes. Great variety of traditional Swiss dishes, excellent presentation and quality, warm and beautiful wooden interior, plenty of small touches which show that this is clearly above average. The perfect Alpine ambiance!

In Autumn 2014 the restaurant "Bettmerhof" was redesigned in a trendy Alpine ambience. In this restaurant you will enjoy delicious specialties from Switzerland and Italy with breathtaking views to the Valais mountains. Enjoy the fresh cuisine of our chef
we booked the hotel with breakfast and dinner. But even as a veggie family we were very well treated and every morning we were asked whether we would like to have something special for dinner
