Value for money, tasty regional food and friendly, fast service. We were sitting on the terrace and enjoyed the view and the great and friendly service from Hamser the Egyptian waiter .(Hope I got his name is right) food was great as well! This restaurant is highly recommended!

We picked this restaurant from the trip Advisor reviews and wernt dissapointed. The food is good quality German fair. Not expensive. One thing surprised us at first is that we were sharing a table with another couple. Once we got over that, it was interesting to meet some locals (and this does appear to be a local's spot) and made for an interesting evening. We enjoyed the meal sufficiently that we went back the following evening as there was plenty of options to choose from the menu.

Lovely meal at this very friendly and welcoming restaurant. The owner was lovely and very helpful. No problems serving a gluten free meal for my husband which was tasty and delicious and homemade by the owners wife....The food was all homemade and very well priced...great advice given on best wine to choose also.I would recommend pre booking as this restaurant is very popular and busy, although we did manage to get a table within 15 mins but in the summer I don't think that would be possible.Delightful and helpful owner who was happy to speak English to us as well....we will definitely return here when in Lindau again.

Getting there was half the fun for us! We avoided the highways and opted for the winding back roads and farm lanes - what an adventure! When you get to the top, I'm sure the view is spectacular; I say that because it was grey and raining when we arrived. It started to clear before we left, so we got a small glimpse of the lake and mountains in the distance. In addition to seating by the windows, there's a large patio area for outdoor dining (not an option on our day due to weather).Service was fast and friendly. There was a varied menu that offered a great selection of local German cuisine. I enjoyed a pint of their dark beer made on site. Food coming out of the kitchen looked spectacular. I opted for meatloaf, only to be disappointed with two large slices of warmed lunch meat. My own fault for not researching ahead of time, but know that meatloaf isn't the same as what you'd expect in North America.Would love to return on a sunny, clear day and enjoy some of the other features on the menu, including the locally crafted beer.Hi Canada27, thank you very much for visiting us in our brewery. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our self-made beer and you can imagine to come back. We wish you all the best and are looking forward to see you again. Best regards, your Max&Moritz-Team

Stayed one night at the Hotel, had a simple room with partly see view. The Hotel has undergone renovations and is partly very modern. The restaurant is a must. I do not believe there is any other Hotel along Lake Constance with the absolutely awesome sight of the lake such as this has.An absolutely wonderful SPA with a large swimming pool completes the image. For anyone loving Lake Constance this Hotel is a definite must.

The service is very friendly, attentive, but still unintrusive. The food is delicious, regional cuisine at its bests, the menu has some signature dishes, but there is also always something new to discover. The atmosphere is relaxed, but correct.

Four of us had an evening meal and it was a very enjoyable experience. Food and service was excellent as was the sunset. Happy to recommend. Wifi also available for a small fee. We stayed at a wonderful apartment called Fischerhausle-Ferienwohnung within walking distance and very close to the lake. Great views from the large deck and owner Ruthild Schmid very helpful. The self contained units are very clean and comfortable. Price was good too at E128 per night.

The restaurant "Meersalz" is located in central of Kressbronn, a short walk from the lakeshore. Set between 100-year old trees and the rippling of the pond, there is a small calm oasis away from the crowds. Here will find vacationers, business people, as
... on Good Friday there were five of us in the Meersalz. The service was charming and courteous. We ordered two 6-course menus and one 5-course menu, otherwise three courses a la carte each. Wine recommendation was excellent, both the white wine (Veltliner) and the Margaux Favarel. So there is absolutely nothing to complain about. If it had not been for a small thing... When paying the bill, at least 430⬠with tip, I could not resist to ask for the "free farewell drink" of the house. That was taken up by our charming service employee and immediately communicated to the management. She was sent back with the statement, "something like this is not taken into account by us", which was obviously a shame for her. Actually really a pity, because it would have been a small gesture for three, two had to drive anyway and hadn't drunk anything the whole time, so also no real effort. The team in service and kitchen did a huge job, thanks for a nice experience. Management, just think about it ;-) That is only a four star rating.

Looking for a place to relax after navigating our way around the German side of the Lake of Constance, it was by mere chance but our good fortune to find, hidden away on a side street, the Hotel and Restaurant âHaus am Seeâ in the town of Nonnenhorn, which is not too far from the city of Lindau. As it was one of those rare, sunny, warm Sundays, we were able to sit outside in the restaurantâs perfectly lovely garden which has a great view of the lake as well as the mountains on the Swiss side. Spying on the other guests, who were tucking into wonderful-looking cakes and ice cream creations, we succumbed to temptation and ordered a piece of the rhubarb cake/pie; two layers of pastry with a tart and creamy rhubarb filling. Since it was terrific, we decided to see if the cheesecake tasted as good as it looked. We werenât disappointed. And since all good things come in threes, we rounded out our caloric splurge with a slice of the apricot cake; tart fruit nestled in a vanilla cream. The service was friendly and quick despite the large number of guests who had the same idea at the same time as we did. All in all it was a perfectly relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon, admiring the boats on the lake as well as the pretty herbal garden on the grounds.Although we couldnât stay for dinner (and wouldn't have had space for it anyway after all that cake), the menu looked as inviting as the cakes. The Haus am See is a great find for an afternoon break.

Petrus Café Brasserie offers fine food and drinks in the Belgium French Tradition. Fresh and skillfully prepared food, wine and Belgium draft beers are of the finest. The Petrus Team is looking forward to welcome you!
As a regular visitor to Bregenz I tried this new restaurant with my friends. At first, we had high expectations with the nice interior but it went downhill from there. The waiter had limited knowledge of the menu, the portions are very small and highly priced compared to other restaurants in Bregenz. We ordered a bottle of wine and the wine was put in a wine cooler near to our table but the waiter didnât get the wine to top up our glasses. After finishing our meal, we were not offered a desert menu, coffee or the bill. We struggled to get the attention of the staff despite them not being particularly busy.
