Having read some positive reviews on Kathiâs, we decided to go. Upon arrival we were advised the restaurant was full and the only table available was within a small overflow area. Before taking in the surroundings, we accepted and sat down. We quickly realised the area we were sat was the entrance to two shops and a bar?!! The shop windows were in need of a wash and the ambience was non existent. I absolutely adore steak and often cook in my own kitchen, I was really keen to try the special Bavarian steak. Iâm a little confused as to why you would come to Bavaria and order meat from another country? There was many selections from other countries available. I should note that with a price tag of â¬39, my expectations were high. My husband ordered the burger. Our food arrived and cutting into my steak, it became obvious the meat was not cooked as ordered, I requested âmediumâ...the meat had not been rested either meaning the meat juices and blood were on my plate. I requested the waiter return to the kitchen for further cooking. Once my steak arrived back, it was cooked to my preference however still oozing meat juices on the plate. At home, my steak is rested for a minimum of 5 minutes to avoid this. The meat was nice and so too were the accompaniments, my husband reports his burger was tasteless and laden with various sauces, causing it to collapse with moisture. All in all, we would not return. A restaurant focusing on serving steak should have chefs who know how to successfully cook (and rest) this expensive cut of meat.

Stayed in Freising for one night, and used TA to search out a good place to eat. We decided on Weissbrau Huber, and we were not disappointed. Pretty much what we expected having visited similar places in Munich. Good atmosphere load and bustling. Lots of beer. Big portions of Bavarian Food, if you are hungry and thirsty, hard to go wrong.Thank you for your friendly review 406kenp, we were very happy about it and hope to welcome you back soon in the Weissbräu Huber! Best regards from Freising

We stop often at this Gaststätte on the way back to Munich when using the alternative road to the highway. Itâs a very good restaurant offering true Bavarian food in a very clean and neat ambience. Meat is simply exceptional, very likely they use their own Metzgerei or a local one not far from then. Veal is incredibly tender and the Wiener schnitzel a joy for the palate. Cordon blue cooked to perfection and Spätzle absolutely gorgeous. Prices a bit over average but the quality justify them. Of course beer is great and to note that Spezi served there is made with Afri Cola which gives a even more refreshing taste to the drink. When in Garching stop there and get some good food and refreshing.

We always eat inside in European restaurants because of the dreadful amount of smoking that goes on around food here. Inside was bland, bare, dark and the barmaid was curt and unhelpful. Food was OK for the price.

Quaint restaurant but poor quality of food. Service was slow. our waiter was actually the shuttle bus driver and did not speak any English (which is really unusual for individuals in the service business at this type establishment). The dinner menu is extremely limited - snitzel; various spaghetti's and pizza's. My wife and I ordered pizza which came on a pre-fab clearly previously frozen crust. Could not even penetrate the crust wqith a knife or fork. Nothing at this restaurant is fresh! Most customers were there to drink beer. Unfortunately, without a car, there is really no other options close by - the restaurant l clearly knows they have a captive audience.

We had reservations for the 1:30 brewery tour - so decided to come early and enjoy lunch here first. Opted for the self serve beer/food and really enjoyed what we ordered. Beers were about 3.80 Euro each for a 1/2 liter and two plates of food was a total of 15 Euro.Very pleasant beer garden

This restaurant was an excellent newer German cooking experience. My husband had the cold-cut and cheese plate as a more traditional German dinner and loved it. I had an excellent salad with roasted chicken. Highly recommend. My 10 year old daughter was very welcome in the family room and many local families appeared to be dining with us.

The beer garden offers simple but delicious food, there is an a la carte option for the restaurant and the beer garden. The portions are very generous, the prices are moderate, the quality of he food is excellent and the service is friendly and efficient. I had two meals - I enjoyed dorade and I had a beer garden meal of a meatball and cabbage salad, washed down with a cool beer.:-) Thank you very much for your nice review about beergarden and restaurant! It´s a pleasure to us, that you enjoyed it everywhere! So please come back soon and recommend us to your friends! See you! The Seidls

I had the opportunity to eat at Neuwirt one evening whilst on business in Ismaning. My colleagues and I (a party of 13) pre-booked the food, and so service was very quick and efficient. The restaurant offered a wide choice of traditional Bavarian dishes. I always think of Bavarian food to be a lot of heavy red meat and potatoes, but there is so much more! I opted for a vegetarian option in the end, which was Spinach dumplings and salad. It came as three large dumplings in a bowl of thin broth, with some crispy onions and other vegetables. It was deceptively filling, and I only just managed to finish the dumplings! The flavour of the dumplings themselves was a little bland, but with the broth and vegetables it was actually a good combination. On this occasion I even managed a dessert, and had the traditional Apple Strüdel. This was well-presented, with ice cream and cream, and delicious! Several of my colleagues had the Apple Kücherl, which is baked apple rings with cinnamon, and I almost regretted not choosing that as it looked so good!
