I am not a beer drinker, yet this was the only terrace far and wide in Chisinau, and it was staggeringly close to my brutalist concrete hotel (without beer garden) so I dropped in for a little sundowner over Negruzzi Boulevard. The choice of (Moldovan) beers is enormous, and most appear to be on tap, and dirt cheap. As a non-beer drinker, excuse me when I say that I chose Borjomi water instead, because I had been on a jolly wine tasting trip to Cricova in the afternoon and was pretty filled up, but I did line my stomach with a lovely cream of mushroom soup and a salad. Soup was excellent, salad was okay but then I learned that in Moldovan restaurants they compete for the unhealthiest cuisine in the world and nobody eats salad so perhaps the personnel weren't that trained in making salad. It was safe, it tasted fine and had I chosen pie I think I would have been very happy because pie is almost always excellent in Moldova. Service was good, too, and altogether I highly recommend this place for a nice casual drink and dinner, or a quick snack while sightseeing. Next time I will try the beer!

Attention! In a heart of Chisinau opened a new restaurant - "Beraria ChiÅinÄu"! This is an excellent combination of the "classical British" and old Chisinau styles. Exclusive beer you will not find anywhere else in the city, and its rich heady flavor is a
Atmospheric, comfy and delicious. Pleasant interior, soft lighting and big tables. We were served by a pretty guy named Vladimir, which was very confident and made us happy with the level of service. Weâve ordered fried carp fish with corn based traditional dish named âmamaligaâ. All the dishes were amazingly cooked by the Chief. The food was very delicious, beautifully served and the plates were very big.

We very much enjoyed our Sep 13 dinners. We had chicken and pork main courses, shared a rustic salad and had traditional baked apples for dessert. The recommended white wine paired well with the dishes. Service was positive, friendly and efficient. Pricing was fair. There was live, local musical entertainment nearby. We enjoyed the music from a distance. Lastly, the decor included interesting painted or stenciled art work on the walls. Very interesting, attractive and a good touch. Easy 5 star recommendation.

Small and cosy (and a bit quirky) place. Just a handful of tables, a big fireplace and stuffed wild animals on the wall.Very friendly waiter, but unfortunately not much English spoken. It would have been very interesting to get more information about the special dishes they offer.Their menu ist huge und therefore choosing something is quite a bit of work. They are specialised in game meat and have a lot of home made pickles and sauces on the menu, partly prepared with wild berries, mushrooms etc. You get also served complimentary home made juices and liqueurs.Everything we had chosen was absolutely delicious. Because it is all prepared on the spot, it takes some time for preparation. It is a bit more expensive than other places, but worth every Lei.The perfect place for somebody looking for local, but a bit more creative dishes than the usual fare which is served everywhere else. Thanks for the great experience!Thank you very much for the kind words.))) Forgive my partner for not knowing English, I'm sorry I was away, sorry!

The restaurant has an elegant interior, which is in part of the same building as the National Art Museum, and a secluded, relaxing terrace at the back, where we sat at a table by a pond with a turtle in it. Blankets were available to keep you warm if necessary. We had excellent medallions of veal and pork dishes, with generous portions compared with what he had elsewhere. Service was good, not quick but as everything had been freshly prepared that is to be expected. There was a keyboard player on a balcony above the terrace; the music helped create a relaxing atmosphere and was not intrusive.

Decent food - good atmosphere, designed like a soviet apratment and with a modern twist on Moldovian traditional food.

This is in my opinion the - by far - best restaurant in Chisinau. Not a standard menu, instead a big variety of starters, incl tasty avocado hummus, excellent grilled courses and vegetarian options. Great local wines as well. The desserts were delicious, especially the chocolate cake and Gastrobars own take on Tiramisu. Purely addictive. Service was attentive and the atmosphere relaxed.

Food quality high. Extensive menu, which possibly leads to slower service. Our wait was very long. Excellent value.
