This hotel is a class act from start to finish. Located in a scenic area with wonderful views. The rooms are modern and impeccably clean. The breakfast was as good as will be found. Healthy food or delectable treats side by side. The staff treated us royally and we would love to come back. There is a community swimming pool a short walk away and hiking everywhere. There are washers and dryers for your convenience with an ironing board and iron in the laundry room. The natives are friendly!

This is an eating place just below the summit of Falkenstein. It is well worth the walk up (a bit of a scramble the last 200 yards, so wear stout shoes). Admire the view, then back to the restaurant for something to eat and a fortifying glass of Prinz Leupolds Donker Beer. If you can get a table on the terrace - heaven! Then to admire the architects designs for the projected castle. King Ludwig II was a monarch who, 1) never involved his subjects in a war, 2) left them richer when he died than when he came to the throne, and, 3) whose hobby was building fairytale castles on mountain tops. Yet they called him "Mad King Ludwig". There is no justice in the world!

Certainly easy to spot in the dark; just off the main road through Schwangau and lit up like a beacon. Once there, note large car park across the road from the hotel. As it was night when we visited, we didn't really appreciate how attractive the building was. Traditional chalet style with a lot of structural wood, and with a good alpine view.We were not entirely sure how to present ourselves on arrival, so we reported to the hotel reception who then pointed us to the separate restaurant nearby. Plenty of large tables available in what seemed to be a sizeable semi-circular wood and glass conservatory, so we bagged a table for eight to ourselves. Having realised that we were Brits, a charming girl who spoke perfect english was deputed to look after us. As the menus were available in english too, it wasn't a difficult evening. Foodwise, ample alternatives of the robust teutonic variety which was fine by us.I went with the nicely-done pork medallions in a creamy mushroom sauce with schwabing dumplings whilst Mrs EPR exercised the unusual choice of grilled chicken breast in a sweet and sour sauce with spring rolls and wok-fried veg. Plus a bountiful bowl of fries between us. Not a lot left of that lot, I can assure you. Dessert choice equally good; who could refuse an "ice cream cake" - actually more like an ice cream cheesecake. I couldn't, and Mrs EPR's hot chocolate sponge pudding was equally good too.All dishes attractively presented, and efficiently served by the experienced waitresses who, I have to say, looked very fetching in their local costume. So a very successful evening in comfortable surroundings. Would certainly return.

The BarfüÃer craft brewery in Memmingen is a top quality location amid the inner-city of Memmingen. Guests can enjoy Swabian-Bavarian specialties and home-brewed delicious BarfüÃer on the huge and comfortable beer garden or the modern designed restaurant.
Came for lunch with friends. Ordered 3 pizzas and schnitzel and waited 1.5 h to be served... way out of proportion for what the meal was. Food was tasteful, but would never decide to stay knowing how long it would take to be served. Our experience would be better if we would be informed along the way what is the problem...seemed understaffed.Dear syllwii, we´re deeply sorry for the inconvenience and that no one informed you beforhand. We will forward your note to our restaurant manager in order to find out the matter which caused the waiting time.Kind regards your BarfüÃer team

On our way back from the King's Castle, we were starving as we had skipped lunch to tour the castles. Alpenstuben Buching popped up as a viable option for our very late lunch (or early dinner) as we entered the Bavarian Dorf of Halblech. Alpstuben Buching is a quaint Bavarian Inn that boasts excellent local cuisine and rooms to accommodate weary travelers. The restaurant offers a moderately-priced menu of local dishes. The portions are quite generous and delicious. Simply stated our meals were "lekker." Although the indoor restaurant and bar looked inviting, we opted to enjoy the day outside under one of the umbrella-covered tables. The service was good, and our hosts were very accommodating. I knew what I was doing when I ordered the local Gulasch. I thought it woud be excellent... and it was. The meat was tender, and laden with subtle hints of paprika and majoram. Since I was driving, I limited myself to a few sips of the local beer. Loved it!The outside dining offers an excellent vista of the looming Alps and rolling foothills. Alpenstuben Buching would make for a memorable romantic weekend with someone special. This fine little inn comes highly recommended.

Wir haben bis einschlieÃlich 12.06.18 Betriebsurlaub. Ab 13.06.18 sind wir ab 17.00 Uhr wieder für Sie da.
Fussen is a very attractive town but much of the food we encountered was perfectly acceptable 'tourist bland'. Madame Pluesch was different. A beautiful cosy venue and local cuisine - my mixed sausage plate was something to remember. The charming Bulgarian waitress worked so hard. You do need to book and we had to wait for the following day to get in but worth it.

Good food for very reasonable prices. One of the fastest services I have ever experienced, which was perfect for us as we were tired and wanted a quick diner

We had a wonderful evening with our friends @ Adlerkeller! This is a unique Restaurant & Bar with a great variety in traditional and new cuisine combined with a very good selection of beverages You also find a âBiergartenâ in the back where you can sit outside under big trees to enjoy your cold beer and from time to time they have live music events Make sure to ask Yvonne and Rudi about it If you visit Kaufbeuren, I can only recommend to visit the Adlerkeller What makes a day better than a fantastic feedback like yours. Thank's so much.It was great to hear that you had an wonderfull evening with family and friends.A review like yours is the best promotion to get new guests for our restaurant and beergarden. But at all, hope to see you again on your next trip to the allgäu and Kaufbeuren. Yvonne &Rudi mit Team

The restaurant Schalander certainly belongs to one of the most recommended addresses in Kempten. Our entrance is half-way up the "Freitreppe", which connects RathausstraÃe and the old town with the elevated FischerstraÃe or the pedestrian zone. Directly i
After reading reviews about this restaurant we arrived there just after 9pm, for a family dinner. According to the website, food is served till 11 pm. We were told that they have stopped serving food at 9 pm. We did inform that it took us a while to find the place and my mother in law is not very mobile. We were told that all they have to offer us is Cheese Spätzle. They also told us no other place will serve dinner after 9pm on Saturday. As my mother in law could not have walked about the town, we settled for what was on the offer. Food was not great and Apfel Strudel a local delicacy was warmed in a microwave! A poor and disappointing experience.
Where to eat German food in Kipfenberg: The Best Restaurants and Bars

This restaurant is an absolute must if you are after a special meal, but make sure you make a reservation. The restaurant was very busy for a Sunday evening, which was a good sign. The menu is very extensive, with a daily special menu of five courses, which three of our group chose. The courses were just the right size, and decent gaps in between. The food was expertly presented, and the ingredients were of high quality. Everything was just perfect, and none of us could criticise anything. This was quite simply the very best meal I have experienced in Germany, indeed the best meal I have had in a very long time. The environment is delightful, very warm and cosy with lots of atmosphere. I can't wait to return here as often as I can. For the standard of food, the prices are reasonable.
