We are using this restaurant for our Heviz visits. They offer good Hungarian cuisine. Try they goose liver. Local vine is delicious too. Staff are attentive, service is fast.

On the eastern edge of Zala county, four kilometres from HévÃz, which is the biggest thermal lake in Europe can we find the Gyöngyösi wayside inn. The inn is situated at the foot of gently sloping hills hiding in the shadow of large trees. Among the Hunga
I found this restaurant in an article in Travel and Leisure magazine and am shocked that it is not reviewed more on tripadvisor. And no reviews in english! This place is fantastic and must be discovered!!!!A rustic setting outside of town, a roadside inn of great history going back centuries. A beautiful outdoor eating area under the grape vines and thatched roofs. Quite romantic. With well dressed, english speaking, and very attentive waiters (the best waitstaff I've come across in all of europe!) ready to help and serve. The food, for us, presented on a sword. That is right! Our meaty meal skewered like a giant kebab on a sword hung over the potatoes, cabbage, pickles so as to bathe said veggies in the dripping juices. A shocking and scrumptious vision of lunch! But the presentation was not all, as the food tasted as good as it looked. Gobbled up quickly and heartily and followed by a medley of strudels.Such an amazing meal must cost and arm and leg, right? But no! Affordable too!In the Heviz area you must come out of town and eat here

...When I turned pages of Madyar Csarda menu. 1 page of starters looks like anywhere, but I turned the page!Soup chapter was already teasing for someone who anglers his rod, puts kilometers of line onto rear and washes his flies at least weekly. So, I recommend Hungarian catfish soup, and, I am sure, I will repeat the recipe at home.Next chapter was for chicken only, another - for goose, special chapter for goose liver...and so on. If even Michelin-abandoned pork got a chapter, what then for beef and venison? Both, beefeaters and wild gamers will enjoy these pages, as well as food.To me visiting Madyar Charda was like that reading pages turned into gedonistic joy of life - the true and real reason to escape from Budapest and 5* hotel!P. S. Nice interiors and cosy terrase. Limited choice of wines.Thank - koszonom - you, chef!

HévÃz kapujában vár a hangulatos önkiszolgáló és A'la carte étterem igazi zalai ételekkel és nemzetközi választékkal.
We had a really great Saturday dinner here, in the aâla carte part of the restaurant. Everything was prepared fresh, food for the four of us was each great, side dishes well chosen and tasty. The staff is very friendly, helpful, they like what they are doing. It was definitely a chef quality meal. We went for an early dinner and had reservation which was a good thing because by the time we finished the restaurant was full.

We have visited the Gizi Néni at around 15:00 local time, so there were just another two people and us. The young waiter was very kind and polite, there was plenty of meals to choose from. We were satisfied with the quality and taste of the food very much and with the restaurant overall. When we walked past the place later in the evening, it has been packed with people.

For hungry wild gamer this is the best. Charismatic waiter will artistically read for you a menu, which is creatively framed as a picture. One will find here everything what Madyar cousine is famous for: "mangalitsa" - fur pig, deer, grey caw, goose liver, catfish, veal cheeks and... pheasant. House wine is of very good... table quality. The only thing I missed was wine list. However, second caraf sold my problem... Great interiors and views from the hill slopes. Reservations are must.

We have ordered pike-perch this time. It was tasty and well-prepared. However, it turned out the fish was purchased from Russia. According to our opinion, it is unacceptable to transport fish to the Balaton lake from Russia...with regard to Hungarian fishers and fish producers and the poor nature, which is destroyed by the long transportsâ¦..
Where to eat German food in Kehidakustany: The Best Restaurants and Bars

We've tried several restaurants during our holiday in Kehidakustany in summer 2017. After our first dinner in this restaurant we've never go anywhere else. Very professional service, personnel speaking English and German (pity in other restaurants usually Hungarian speaking only). There was a plenty of space even for children (very useful during waiting for our meal). And the meal very delicious. First evening we were sitting outside at the terrace, then rather inside. Even if it's not air-conditioned it's still more comfortable to sit inside during hot summer afternoon/evening.
