Das Juhu muss man suchen, denn zurfällig finden kann man es auf Grund seines etwas ausserhalb gelegenen Standortes von GroÃarl nicht. Aber der Weg lohnt sich allemal. Die Karte sehr umfangreich und voll mit regionalen und österreichischen Spezialitäten. Sonntags ist Schnitzeltag mit Spezialiäten wie Bergsteiger-, Jägerschnitzel, etc. Im Vorderen Bereich des Restaurants finden gröÃere Gruppen Platz 8-10er Tische, im hinteren Raum, der auch etwas gemütlicher eingerichtet ist, sind 2-6er Tische. Als wird dort waren, war der Seniorchef im Service und die Chefin in der Küche. Ihr Mann war wohl nicht "professionell" im Serice geschult, aber das hat das ganz noch gemütlicher gemacht. Wer also hinkommt und den Senior-Chef im Serice arbeiten, bitte nachsichtig sein, wenn nicht alles 100% so schnell und akurat funktionert - das macht es aber einfach familiärer. Das Essen war ein echter Gaumenschmaus, die Schnitzel mit tollen Zutaten, die SoÃen perfekt abgestimmt. Zum Dessert hatte wir Apfelradeln, die zwar etws gedauert haben, aber dafür hatte sich das Warten allemal gelohnt - bisher die besten die wir je gegessen hatten. Ein riesen Lob an die gesamte Familie für dieses Resataurant!

As planned during December stay in Bad Hofgastein, this time we decided to try out DAS FRANZ Restaurant in Salzburgerhof. The place is indeed a great culinary experience and worth recommendation. And, what is sometimes more important than taste, they understand the approach to a guest as most important âingredientâ, offerin high service standard. During our our 5-day stay in Bad Hofgastein we went there 3 times and every time got satisfied! Coming to Bad Hofgastein once or twice a year we will definitely become regulars here!

We went as a group of 4 for dinner. We ordered Pumpkin Soup, Deep Fried Mushrooms, Risotto, Apple strudel. The food was excellent, the portions were generous, although I would have preferred a larger portion of the soup (the best pumpkin soup I have ever tasted !). Everything was nicely presented and the owner was fabulous. He was very friendly, attentive and very helpful with explaining the menu. We were given a choice of tables and he was even willing to open the separate dining room/area just for us ! ( I have been to a few restaurants where they would not let you sit where you want !). We were also lucky to find an empty parking space just outside. We will definitely have dinner there again.

Nice wooden restaurant with a open fire right in the middle. Over three floors so if youâre unlucky you have to navigate down three narrow flights or stairs to get to the toilet.Foodâs pretty good although the meat in the Goulash soup was a little grisly.Quite fun to do the toboggan run from here (costs â¬6.50 per person) using the old one-man chair lift!!Dear Guest,thank you for being part of our legend.Thank you for your comments.It is not possible in a historic building to have toilets on every level. sorry for that.Hope to see pou soon on a lower level :-)AnastasiaManager

We took the lift from Grossarl and walked about 30 minutes from where the lift left us. Wonderful setting, good music (local...), very good food. The kids have a lot to do, there is a large outdoor play area.

Well presented and carefully executed food from a short but balanced menu.The smoked salmon starter was imaginative with a mixture of slices and tartare.My wife then had venison which looked and was superb whilst my goose breast was faultless.Austrian house wine "by the glass" was served from the bottle (a nice touch). To finish we shared a nut parfait ice cream concoction which was surprising as it was not too sweet followed by a complimentary schnaps. Service matched the quality of the foodA definite for a return visit.

Visited in Summer, lovely weather to sit out side. We could enjoy some strudel and drinks and look out over the play garden where our son could play. Great swing with gorgeous backdrop of snow capped mountains and the himmelwand side of the mountain. It's a lovely 15-20 min hike from the parking lot.

Went there because of good ratings on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed at all. It's been one of the best restaurant experience lately. Food was delicious, service was superb and there were nice views of the town and mountains. Simply a very good experience. Highly recommend.

A party of 7 open-minded eaters. After the first visit, everybody agreed to repeat again in our one week's holiday time. We've tried many foods, the lentils pancakes, Asia Wok, Garlic bread... Only the Rösti Burger was disappointing, lacking the taste. The waitress serving us was both times the same, pleasant, fast & efficient. For sure we'll be back.
