Small but nicely presented portions with sometimes rather exotic combinations

To help you better understand my reviews, my wife and I are independent travelers in our mid-60s. While we definitely like a bit of luxury and enjoy good food, we usually find five-star hotels and Michelin starred restaurants too pretentious. We have dined at the Gasthof Adler on many occasions while attending the Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg. The food is "nouvelle" with Austrian touches (particularly in their choice of ingredients). The food is consistently excellent, with many interesting choices on the menu. The specials follow what is available locally and seasonally. On our most recent visit, we took a friend out to lunch and had the most wonderfully light housemade ravioli filled with Pfifferlinge (German for chanterelles). We always look forward to dining here. In good weather, sitting out in their garden is delightful. And when it is cold and rainy, the interior is divided into a number of small rooms with only a few tables in each room, so dining is intimate.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel--a family of 6, including three grandchildren--so schnitzel/chips were high on their list. The service was excellent;the menu however all in German( just as well we had a local friend with us). Main courses were delicious. No problems with parking ( it's adjacent to a large ski lift car park), but only payment in cash--no credit card. like many places in Bavaria.

Petrus Café Brasserie offers fine food and drinks in the Belgium French Tradition. Fresh and skillfully prepared food, wine and Belgium draft beers are of the finest. The Petrus Team is looking forward to welcome you!
As a regular visitor to Bregenz I tried this new restaurant with my friends. At first, we had high expectations with the nice interior but it went downhill from there. The waiter had limited knowledge of the menu, the portions are very small and highly priced compared to other restaurants in Bregenz. We ordered a bottle of wine and the wine was put in a wine cooler near to our table but the waiter didnât get the wine to top up our glasses. After finishing our meal, we were not offered a desert menu, coffee or the bill. We struggled to get the attention of the staff despite them not being particularly busy.

Tolle auswahl im Menu und eine sehr freundliche bedienung. Das Zanderfillet war einfach spitze . Eine gute kombination mit den Wirsing und Speck

Quite a stunning establishment. The dining rooms are so full of charm. We were fortunate enough to arrive early and were seated directly under the traditional "Herr Gottswinkel" - Crucifix flanked by two delightful reverse glass paintings. The view out of the window onto the square and church is just wonderful. The food is not bad either. In fact the food is very good.

We went there without a reservation and just got the last table. We ordered a local wine (OK), Wiener schnitzel (excellent) and pork medallions (excellent). We both also ordered potato salad and fried onions (again both excellent). The presentation was outstanding. The greeting was friendly and we were immediately recognised as British, spoken to in English and given an English menu, although the specials were only in German which our host translated for us.The atmosphere inside is of a traditional Bavarian restaurant (a very busy one!) and remember it only opens at 5pm and is closed on a Monday. We will return for one of the best meals we've had for a while.

The Bregenzer Wald is not merely a blessed chunk of nature, it is also a true treasure chest of products made by the local farmers. At the âSchoolhouseâ in Krumbach, these are prepared in masterly ways.
After a ride through the beautiful Bregenzer Wald we stopped to have lunch at Schulhus. This turned out to be a excellent choice. A very warm welcome by the owner made us feel comfortable. The dining room light and modern. The food also light and modern with a classical origin. Every dish was spot on and the advised Austrian wines of very good quality. This lady chef knows how to cook! We can't wait to return.

One doesn't necessarily expect a modern restaurant (both interior and menu) in a rural, touristy area. But there is the Ernele. Rely on the recommendation of the chef, who comes to the table and explains. It is also nice to watch your food being prepared.
