We had a traditional German dinner here on late notice. Dropped in here without a reservation, and got one of the last tables. We both had traditional German meals that were both good. Service was pleasant, and the setting was nice. Overall if you're in the area a nice place to drop in. Our hosts at Zeevat recommended the restaurant.

Im Gasthaus DER BIERMANN in München-Riem wird die neue und die alte Bayerische Küche miteinander kombiniert. Immer wieder finden auch internationale Gerichte ihren Weg auf die Speisekarte. Biergulasch in der Brottasse. BayernBurger. Und besonders beliebt
Good food, friendly atmosphere. So why I'm a giving a so bad note? Simple: At the end of the meal, the waiter comes with a bottle of schnapps and says: "It is a tradition to drink a schnapps after a good meal, can I propose you a glass?". He did the same on every tables around us, and every times, the same answers: "Oh that's very nice, thank you, with pleasure!". So the waiter really act like it is offering and the reaction of the peoples shows that they mostly understand it this way. At the end comes the bill: 6.50 Euros per glass! For me, it is just trickery. It spoiled our evening.I noticed it to the waiter when we left, he apologized for the misunderstanding but when I came to observe him an hour later, he keeps acting the same way! Unacceptable.Dear Tomcat - the whole team: we have spoken about our 'Schnaps-politics'. Thank you for bringing up this item. We have to stop misunderstandings. Due to your remarks we did it already. Please visit us again to check this. You will be invited to a glass of Schnaps - and believe me: free of cost in your case. Hope to see you again - Elisabeth Petermaier, manager

Walk in local restaurant which only takes cash. Bavarian and Czech menu. Hearty food high in near content but very well cooked and sensibly priced. Staff are helpful and friendly. Menus in English helped. Well worth a visit.

My wife and I have probably eaten here over a dozen times since the management changed about a year ago, and we have never been disappointed. The Lindengarten serves solid Bavarian food with a modern, eclectic touch, the portions are generous but not so generous that you need to be carried off in a wheelbarrow, the food quality is very consistent. The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant. My only minor complaint - the menu should be changed more frequently (I don't think they've updated the core menu for about a year).A hint to tourists - you can easily reach this in about 20-25 minutes from downtown Munich via the U2/S4 and the 192 bus.

Although a bit of a trek outside central Munich (about 30 minutes by U/S-bahn, it was well worth it. The website features numerous gluten-free options and the restaurant didn't disappoint. The duck was delicious as was the dessert (Kaiserschmarrn) which was specially prepared gf. They even had several options of gf beer and not just the horrible gf and alcohol free version! I didn't expect the waitresses to be fluent in English but they are. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

This restaurant has a good reasonably priced menu. Our meals were well cooked, no delays and served by helpful friendly staff. Good wine and beer from a local brewery. Also, this restaurant was being used by the locals, always a good sign.Thank you very much for your review. We are looking forward to welcome you again

Traditional bavarian food with very good quality. The service was exceptional kind. You can sit in- and out-side. The place is a bit difficult to find and not directly accessible from the national Road 304.

Suggested by a friend of mine who lives nearby, this warm and cozy family restaurant dates back more than a century ago. Owned by the same family ever since its opening, you can find local beers, friendly service, fine quality Bavarian food at reasonable price. Nice decor and parking available.

At Bauma 2016 in Munich. Gasthof Bauer introduced by business associate who lives in Feldkirchen as THE place to eat. We had tremendously tender Wiener Schnitzel and an incredible pork roast. Mickey was superb making sure everything was perfect. The meal was so go we came back the next day for another wonderful meal. This is a restaurant not to miss!!!

We had a great evening st Thalassa. The owner personally welcomed us with two glasses of ouzo before we struggled to finally choose several of the many great options on the menu. The mixed spit of grilled meats was excellent as was the pitta grilled with garlic. The moussaka tasted as great as it looked. After dessert, the owner came by again with a glass of warm metaxa. While not a cognac fan, this was surprisingly smooth and a nice ending to the night. Only fault keeping this from a 5 star review is a few hiccups from not writing down all of our order. But the food when finally served as ordered was fantastic and the service and atmosphere was great. Would definitely recommend
