Firstly do not rely on your GPS or cell phones to find this hotel! We were driving around for 30 minutes trying to find it...it would seem that the major roads have changed recently in that area & neither our GPS or Google maps were of any help! That being said the hotel was clean, comfortable & friendly. The rooms are a reasonable size but the bathrooms, although with a great shower, are tiny. The room was comfortable and the hotel quiet. As we arrived late we decided to eat in the hotel ...a buffet for â¬17. This was very overpriced for food that had been kept warm for several hours. The food was unexciting & boring so a bit of a rip off. Vegetarian ...you'll be disappointed. Breakfast was better ...the usual continental. I wouldn't return I'm afraid....even if I was lucky enough to find it next time!

We were here, only to have a middday lunch. This is a rustic restaurant, with home brewery attached. The woodstove was burning which gave a cosy athmosphere. I must honestly admit,  that home brew was really good. Nice blond, cloudy, round, ⦠glided nicely through your throat. When we came in around 12 o'clock, on a rainy day, the place was almost empty. But by the hour of 1, it was filled up completely with families, friends, some with their dogs, who were in the area to have a walk in the beautiful nature of the surroundings.Food was plenty, tasty and ideally fit for walkers.

Because of the positive reviews and good rating we chose for this restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience was not that good. As a first dish we ordered the onion soup. The bread with the melted cheese was delicious. The soup itself was not so tasty. As a second I ordered some special schnitzel with onions and mushrooms on top of it. Here it went fully wrong; there was no taste in the onions and the mushrooms. Were they cooked in water? Were the mushrooms from a can? We asked them to recommend a dry white wine. The wine seemed semi-sweet and it was not served cold enough. Definitely, not a wine of quality. In conclusion, the offered meal was unfortunately well below our expectations.

An institution on the Luxembourgish Mosel. Restaurant open since 1907 and recently being taken over by a young owner. Great traditional Luxembourgish dishes, grilled meat, burgers and vegetarian options. With over 100 Luxembourgish wine references we are
Sunday lunch with friends in Koeppchen was an absolute delight! Very busy, so booking a table is a must! Excellent Luxembourgish and other dishes. Our table had Blue cheese burgers, gnocchi and Wainzoossiss rinsed down with local Riesling and Rosport Bleu. The apple cake was homemade as well as the crème brulée - both excellent desserts. Service was top notch and we will definitively return to Koeppchen!

Nouvelle gérance depuis 1 novembre 2018. Cuisine traditionnel luxembourgeoise et semi-gastronomique. Terrasse, vue sur la Moselle & vignes.
The Auberg du Lac has been renewed. The restaurant has nice bright colours. It is clean and the service is friendly. The food was well presented and had good taste. Unfortunately I found one hair in my tomato soup.Bonjour, nouvelle gérance depuis 1 novembre 2018! Venez nos visiter! à bientôt,

We have just returned from a lovely evening spent outside watching a World Cup football match. We both had the special burger, his was the big version and mine the small. Burger was delicious, patty was lovely and moist and all of the fillings were yummy. The Novum wine was so nice I bought a bottle to take away with me to impress relatives who will be visiting from New Zealand soon. Well done Team Novum.

We frequent this place quite often and I have held back on sharing the this place to keep people away! It great for families when the weather is nice because you can sit outside and the kids can play on the playground. You cannot go wrong with the specials or when they are grilling outside. And the wines are quite good and priced right.

The Hotel Simon's has a restaurant located in 1 floor. Last visit 3 years ago. Same good service and food. We had: Zander with spargel. The fish was fresh and tasty. The restaurant has plenty of day like due to the big glass windows. Nice parking and free.

Great choice for those who want to experience local cuisine, the chef has taken traditional Luxembourg dishes and modernised them. You can try dishes like frog legs, blood sausage, and veal liver that you don't often see around. For less adventurous eaters the steak is delicious. Try the combo with one cut from Luxembourg and the other from Argentina to compare flavors. I think this restaurant is great for tourists who want to experience local food.
