We stopped by on a warm Sunday evening and although the place was absolutely packed, the self service concept seemed to work well and we were quickly enjoying our very tasty shrimp cocktail and Hugos in the sun. Lots of flashy cars and clientele which adds to the general lively atmosphere. Plenty of parking, plenty of outdoor seating and lounge possibilities. With or without large groups equally entertaining and worth a stop.

This restaurant was a really nice surprise! The locale is very elegant and refined. The staff is super friendly and make your dining experience a pleasurable one. Their wine are from their own vineyards and are a must try!! I cannot give enough praise of their snails, which are farm raised on site. I was in the mood for a light dinner, so I had their salad and spinach dumplings. Both were amazing. My wife had a shrimp salad and enjoyed every bite! In summary, you should definitely try this restaurant. Ideal for a romantic couples dinner!!

Experience violet wine in the Palatinate region. The Weingut am Nil wine estate â Weâre not from Egypt. The Weingut am Nil wine estate was founded in 2010 and has been producing top Rieslings since then. The Schuster winemaker family had previously farmed
While staying in Kallstadt, we had lunch there. We sat outside on a lovely afternoon and enjoyed good wine and a snack of excellent Parmesan cheese with balsamico. We explained that we only wanted a snack and they treated us as if had ordered an expensive meal. We had a very relaxing time after a walk through the vineyards and also bought some bottles to take home. It was on a Sunday and it was busy. As soon as a table became free, it was taken again. It is a very stylish place.

Been there for dinner on a Saturday night. We got there at 1830 left at 2130 - during that time we had wine then first course followed by main and desert. The dishes were BRILLIANT where anything else was waiting time. Personally I don't think it was too slow since we had wine and enjoyed ourselves in the meanwhile but ya'll gotta know this ain't a place for a "fast eat". The courses was seriously great - salad & carpaccio were made SO well, not the common ones you would find in a high class restaurant but more sophisticated. Main courses - the beef stripes were unbelievably tender and the sause & the potatoes with truffles side dish went perfectly well with the meat. I had lamb fillet with scoops of potatoes with Rosmarin which was amazingly tender and flavored. For desert we had the combo which combined all the main deserts so you don't have to struggle with choosing one. Needless to say the wine from that region (BW) was premium. Staff was highly professional and spoke perfect English. Highly recommended!

This little gem offers a wonderful view, attentive service and great food. Lots of outdoor seating under large umbrellas available - I have never eaten inside here so I cannot speak to the atmosphere indoors. Food is delicious - many options for fish lovers and non-lovers alike. Fresh food, simply prepared and beautifully served. Wide selection of wines and beer. Peaceful place to share a meal with family or friends.

We have been there after a short walk in the vineyards. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The menu was diverse and making the decision was difficult as everything looked nice. The wine list offers several local and also international wines which is rather unique in the weinstrasse. The service was very well done. So, for sure we will go back.

The Burgschanke Neu Leiningen is one of those amazing restaurants sort of in the middle of nowhere that loyal customers will drive hours to visit. Their signature dish is Ochsen filet am stuck, in which they bring the meat out on a slab ahead of time and everyone tells the waitress how much to cut for their portion. We've been going for ten years and the service and quality have been top notch every time. The steaks are on a par with any you would find in the best steakhouses in the world. You must order any sides and salad that you want additionally or all that will come is your steak!Reservations are essential as the restaurant is located inside of an old castle and when the weather is not great only a limited number of tables are available. The place is also nearly impossible to find, and once located, nearly impossible to get to. There is a parking area behind the castle but it takes nerves of steel to get into and out of. My recommendation if the weather is nice is to park at the bottom of the hill and simply walk. It is about an hour south of Frankfurt. One other important thing - they only take cash or an EC card. This is sort of a special restaurant that you will have memories of for a long time afterwards. One other thing - if you walk up the hill you will pass a restaurant on your left that might appear to be this one. The Burgschanke entrance, however, is located around the corner adjacent to the car park, and not easily identified. The other restaurant is on the side, closer to the cathedral.

Along the wine route of the romantic Palatinate region of Germany lies a sleepy historical town of Neuleiningen, where one has the feeling that time has stood still. It is a place of picturesque quaint houses, numerous flower boxes, centuries old fortified walls, cobbled streets (recommended for lots of walking) with not a single multi-storied modern construction in sight. It is here that the Hotel Alte Pfarrey (Old Parish) with it's one Michelin star restaurant is found. The restaurant, a large, modern well decorated Conservatory, is an added extension to the unique old Parish house, where the hotel rooms are located. We were a group of 6 going to this part of Germany to taste the wines of the region, and to dine at the " Alte Pfarrey " the one Michelin star restaurant which turned out to be an enjoyable experience in spite of unfriendly weather conditions during our stay there . Appended below are my impressions. FOOD : For the quality and portions we got, the prices were reasonable and not over-the-top expensive. Everyone who had the Trilogie of Goose liver with apple and brioche agreed it was excellent and so was the young local venison served with a hazelnut crust, savoy cabbage and pepper jus. As I am not a red meat fan, my dish was a crispy fried Pike Perch fish garnished with sautéed young leeks and a frothy Riesling sauce....very yummy!Desert was a selection of cheeses made from un-pasteurised milk with fruity bread. PRICES:Starters : 24-25 Euros,Entrees 18- 28 Euros ( portion smaller than mains )Mains Meat / Fish 36 Euros Desserts 16-18 EurosFor those interested in the Degustation Menu here are your choices :4 Course Menu w/o wine 76 Euros with wine 108 Euros5 Course Menu w/o wine 84 Euros with wine 124 Euros6 Course Menu w/o wine 92 Euros with wine140 EurosService from the start to end of our stay there, from restaurant and hotel staff was excellent.A last word about breakfast at Restaurant Pfarrer ( we stayed 3 nights there ) We looked forward every morning to the well presented, very good breakfast ( included in room price ) as it was a joy breakfasting in the well-lit elegant conservatory. If your want to give yourself a treat , don't hesitate ...GO FOR IT. It's worth every Euro spent :)
