Pssst⦠Lauschen Sie mal. Sorgsam
My husband and I visited this very nice place several times during our stay in Dreieich in May 2012. The service was always outstandingly friendly, quick and polite. Very professional but also with a human touch and time to take care of their customers. In the evenings this is a nice place to come for a cocktail or two, they have a good selection of long drinks and very good whiskey selection, too. Nice atmosphere and very welcoming. We came here many days in a row and always chose something different from the menu, everything was very good and always nicely presented. The Sunday brunch with friends was a big hit - everybody in our party of 12 was very happy with their food. Great coffees! Also, this is a dog-friendly place, which we loved. We sat outside with several dogs on a very sunny and warm day and waiting staff almost immediately brought fresh water and even some kibble for the dogs.At the back of the restaurant, there is a nice small private patio, perfect for warm summer evenings when you don't wanna sit inside. We can highly recommend this place and hope to be back in the future.

If you are looking for an old German traditional restaurant around Frankfurt, then this is the place to visit. The guest is transported back to the past. Nothing has changed from the interior design to the service personnel. One is greeted at the door by a rather "chubby" manager to the back of the restaurant where he hangs up your coat and issues you with a little numbered ticket. Reminded me of my opera visits. Anyway, the food reflects good, old German cuisine served on a large silver plate wheeled to your table by a stiff waiter. Again, I could not help but think of the film "Dinner for One". The atmosphere, our waiter, the food just transports one to a historical period where all time stands still. There is absolutely no eye contact or friendly conversation between guest and service personnel. One is truely transported to an era of bygone days.If you are paying with American Express or other credit card you will need to go to the restaurant kitchen to pay. Unfortunately, their card machines only work in the kitchen. As I say, be warned. This is not your typical German restaurant of modern times. But the food is good, service personnel perhaps on the heavy side and the ambience is old-German style.Dogs are most welcome of course. And after a heavy or light meal, take a good stroll around the lovely pedestrian walkways around the golf green and enjoy the lovely nature around you.

We had dinner here and were able to sit outside. The service is attentive and the food is delicious. If you are not from Germany there are things that may seem different but try them and you will be pleasantly surprised. There seem to be many people other than hotel guest who come here and it is easy to see why. All up it was a great evening.Dear guest, glad to read that you enjoyed your evening at our Torschänke and we really hope to welcome you again during your next stay.Best wishesManagement Team

First time visit to 'Romana' with my brother-in-law , Tues evening and we were asked if we'd made a reservation! It was just before 7pm the place was pretty empty but a few tables were already reserved inside and also out on the terrace, we had no problem getting a table for two. A friendly waiter took our drinks order and shortly afterwards our dinner order e.g. 2 x rump steak with roasted sliced potatoes with a side salad. The steaks were done to a treat, I found out from the ' head waiter ' that the chef gets his meat from South Africa. Dessert was a portion of traditional Tiramisu with two scoops of vanilla ice - very tasty. The Italian speaking waiters were all very polite and friendly , service without any stress, comfortable atmosphere, certainly worth a second visit in the near future.

My first positive impression was the large, spotlessly clean kitchen and her 3 robust cooks. I knew immediately that I was in for a culinary adventure. The cooks smiled at us from their steaming pots and gave us a look of; "Welcome to our establishment. You are in good hands". Needless to say I was not dissappointed. Every dish was an awakening of the senses. Good old regional food presented with a passionate French touch. We tasted a rack of lamb embedded in a delicate curry gravy, sliced deer meat that melted on our palate, roast beef curled up in a mushroom sauce, chicken & goose liver patè and always that devilish bread served with 3 types of butter. I still had space for their dessert. I chose the chefs plate. A little bit of everything. An unbelievable culinary delight; from poppy-seed ice-cream to a hot chocolate mouse. Finally, I would highly recommend the following wines with the meat choices; La Rioja Alta, Verdejo and Laxas Albarino wines.

We've been in the restaurant several times. As well we booked it for an event with 30 people. The food quality is very high and the service is good. You can book this restaurants for events and they will offer you different menues. It is enough to eat for everyone and you get a nice looking table.Location is in the cityhall of Urberach. But beside the strange location in the restaurant you will feel you are in an restaurant. The tables outside are ok but you should know that at daytimes some people might walk by.What i specially like is the quality of fish and meat dishes. If you like a good beefsteak or any kind of grilled meat/fish you are at the right location. I would choose this restaurant over a steakhouse. As well the dishes with vegetables and other stuff taste very good.Prices are fair and you can have good food for ok prices. You can access the restaurant with a wheelchair. On weekend and public holidays you should make a reservation via phone.

I have been at this restaurant with few colleagues and it's been a great experience. You can really see the passion that they put in everything they do, from carefully selecting the ingredients and the wines (you can find food and dishes that are typical from Piemonte in Italy) to the way they cook it, serve and treat you. Strongly recommended.

We have eaten there already several times. Service is friendly, prices are higher than at other Italian restaurants in Dietzenbach. This is, however, justified by the very high quality of the food. A wonderful place for a birthday outing or any reason for celebrating something. There are some cosy and quiet corners.
