We fancied a change and joined the barbecue at Springiersbacher Hof. Not quite sure of how it would work (and not having the German linguistic skills to work it out) but our friendly hosts explained you selected your salads then the meat chosen was taken to the barbeque and cooked for you. The marinated meat was delicious and not burnt to a crisp as can so often happen with barbecued food. There was plenty of variety with the salads and it was okay to return to the salad bar as often as you wanted. Lovely atmosphere, great wine list from their own winery. It was not expensive and we weren't rushed away after our meal, we were told that the table was ours for the evening. Finished off with a local gin made on the premises, excellent evening with very friendly staff who made us feel really welcome.

Superb. Each dish is prepared with immaculate detail, with freshest ingredients mostly from local sources. They are most accommodating for special diets for example vegetarians can be accommodated on most menu items (not sure about Vegan standards). The staff is very knowledgeable, prompt, and ready to supply helpful suggestions on the meal or wine selection. They have an intimate back room that is very cozy for couples. The outdoor dining is simple but well appointed. Highly Recommended.

This is the classiest bar on the Mosel waterfront without exception.Indoor seating, and covered outdoor seating with Mosel views.Apart form during the Weinfeste, Domus Vini doesn't sell hot food. It generally sells a typical huntsman menu, such as a hams, salami, cheeses, eggs and bread (with mustard from an authentic Senfmuhle). The host hunts his own wild boar in the hills of the Mosel, and I can verify that the resultant salami is rather wonderful. The host also sells his own wine produce. Simply marvellous. I cannot think of a better way of spending a summer evening other than sitting on this terrace, eating a wonderful mean, and having a few glasses of Domus Vini wine.

Haus Burg Metternich is a hotel & restaurant located at the foot of Metternich Castle in Beilstein at the Mosel River. The establishment is family owned for 5 generations. Service is adequate. The small town of Beilstein is popular with bypassing as well as tourists. From the vine-framed terrace of Haus Burg Metternich you have a nice view of the river and the surrounding vineyards. We came on a bicycle tour and the terrace was tempting for a rest. Haus Burg Metternich proved to be a good place for a coffee break.

Some lovely touches at this restaurant: daily specials are charmingly presented, written on a porcelain plate. With our wine, we were provided complimentary small pieces of zwiebelkuchen, a very nice touch. Service is impeccable. Food was good, but not great. Seemed pricey for the quality received.

Spectacular view over the Mosel from this nice terrace which is unique in my experience for being, in effect, a beer garden attached to a beautiful ancient church. The brew, which is pretty good, may, if the beer mug speaks the truth, actually come from a Benedictine monastery on the Danube....

Real old structure and a cave-like ambiance. The wine taste very nice. Only came in for a drink before we went off to our hotel. We like the place very much and wine ....nice.They were friendly and very welcoming. I like it.

Located just off the water and in the center of town, Hotel Haus Lipmann has a beautiful terrace. We stopped here mid-afternoon for some cake & coffee. We ordered the Kirschstreusel (cherry) and Rieslingtorte accompanied milchkaffee and espresso macchiato. Service was prompt. We enjoy a relaxing time. The ku chen was very tasty.

We ate dinner on the grape-vine-covered balcony overlooking the river. The view is spectacular. Service was impeccable and cheerful. The house wine was delicious. We ordered two of the specials featuring fresh mushrooms, and both were wonderful; my wife had spaghetti with mushroom sauce, and I had schnitzel with a similar though thicker mushroom sauce. She had apple strudel with ice-cream; I had a chocolate cake smothered in cherry sauce set next to a dip of vanilla ice-cream and a dollop of whipped cream. Decadent, yes. We've not had a better meal in our three weeks in Germany.

I came here with my companion for my birthday based on reviews from people on Trip Advisor and I was NOT disappointed! Be sure to arrive by at least 18.30 if you want a table on the outside terrace as tables are limited. My companion ordered a ragout of venison and I had the trout. Both plates were plentiful and delicious. Great wine as well (we recommend asking for the red wine DORNFELDER (Dry).
