Nice game-decorated place. Food was really nice (PeÄené jelenie stehno so Å¡Ãpkovou omáÄkou - Roasted deer leg with rose hip sauce ) and not expensive (7,5EUR).Red wine - Karpatska Perla was good and Dessert - Šúľance s makom - potato noodles with poppyseed and melted butter was absolutely great.
Proper burger. Fresh buns and 100% beef from Slovakia. That's it.
I dont like that meat for burger is half ready before u order it and they just finish it moment when u order. Bacon cold and wet, chewy not crispy. Sure ready from before and just keep lightly hot in machine. Size of meat is also smaller like use to be in similar places. Plate come without sides. U can order chips or side extra. Bun for burger is nice and fresh I give good point for offering nice Brewdog beer (difficult to find in Banska Bystrica).Hello Veronika,Firstly thank you for your review. Please let me answer to points u mentioned like mÃnus:1. "Half ready meat" - how did u find that we do it this way? We have open kitchen, so next time check the procces how is our burger "born". For sure the meat is fresh, not Half made.2. Im sorry that your bacon was cold. Our bacon should Be chewy, not crispy ( if u like crispy bacon, we need to know it before).3. Our meat has 162g. Lots of our customers complain that meat is very big :) ( in positive side of course :)Please visit our burger house and ask for the burger what u like mostly, I believe that u experience will be Yummy :)

I followed recommendations for this place. I have to say this is really place with fantastic restaurant in garden. Very quiet with nice flowers around. And the food was maxing. Very friendly staff, all time ready to offer good service.

Charming restaurant at similarly charming & tiny town of Banska Bystrica, tucked halfway in Slovakia between Hungary to Poland route.Restaurant is large enough to accommodate a couple of tour groups, though you could be seated at the underground hall, worry not...the underground dining hall is pleasantly attractive & comfortable as the outside terrace!Food is excellent with good presentation and they have their own beer brewery.

I visited for lunch with my mom in May 2015 during a visit back home (I grew up in Banska Bystrica, but have lived in the States for many years now). This restaurant came recommended by my mom's acquaintance, and we were blown away by the food. The décor is lovely - it looks like a country café in Provence. The service is very attentive and pleasant. But the true highlight is the food. The chef (who is very engaged with guests, shares his views on food, and is willing to show you around his kitchen) masterfully transforms ingredients typical in traditional Slovak cooking into an elevated dining experience by adding unusual twists to his dishes. I have not tasted food of this caliber and level of creativity anywhere in Slovakia (and certainly nowhere else in Banska Bystrica). It was not a cheap meal, but the portions were quite generous so you could share the entrees. During our visit, the restaurant was putting finishing touches to an outdoor terrace which is undoubtedly lovely for outdoor dining in warm months. This restaurant is not to be missed when you are in town - it is truly an unexpected surprise and a delightful dining experience.

Everything was as explained in the reviews, but somehow we felt a disappointment. The food was prepared from fresh ingredients, but it ess in no way special and portions were small. I believe not being a professional cook I could cook better than what they served us. Will not be back! There are many restaurants around to sample and perhaps get better value.

We stopped here for lunch driving between Budapest and Krakow. It's a charming little place (made of logs) in the forest off a main road. It was August, so the place was very crowded. It also took about an hour for our food to arrive. The food is delicious though, and the prices are good. We had some good traditional food. I also enjoyed the traditional clothes the servers wore.

If you like to eat something special you should visit the Frais. We had to wait a little bit longer than average for our dishes but it was worth to wait. Pork belly and beef rib were very special and delicious meals. We definitely recommend to visit Frais.

Bystricka Klubovna is a third beer pub from the Slovak chain and is located in the historical building of Barbakan. Good beer, great food and an amazing atmosphere cannot be missing in Bystricka Klubovna. Imagine grilled delicacies like smoked sausages, g
This is kind of pub-restaurant, serving beer and good food, open to late night this is good choice. It is franchise, you can find one also in Bratislava, Kosice and so on.. check the website. Staff is nice, the terrace is perfect for summer evening.
