We are a cosy soup bar in the beautiful town of Landau in Rhineland-Palatina. We offer a nice range of freshly made soups, salads, bread with spreads, cakes and delicious drinks. There is always a vegan/vegetarian as well as a lactose-/gluten-free option
It's definitely refreshing to dine at a place with vegan/vegetarian options here in the Pfalz where veganism isn't as welcoming a trend as other big cities, eg Berlin. We frequent this hipster cafe and the soups are always delicious. The accompanying bread is fresh and the salads with my all-time favourite Orange-Mustard dressing never disappoint. Owned and run by ambitious young people with friendly staff alike. This is a free-seating and self service casual establishment, although reservations are welcome. This place is always busy during lunch time. Dear charlenesiminchen, thanks so much for your lovely feedback. Highly appreciated! It's really nice to hear that you always feel welcome, enjoy the food and are satisfied with the friendliness and overall perfomance of our team. Hope to see you soon and all the best from all of us, the team of Suppe mag Brot

I stopped on my way through to Alsace and wished Iâd continued on to eat in France. The goulash soup was tasty, but extremely filling as it had so much meat and other items in it that it was more like chili than any goulash soup Iâve had before. In Germany, white asparagus with boiled potatoes and hollandaise is nearly a regional tradition. There are âSpargel-Karteâ in many restaurants listing the seasonal dishes featuring this well-loved specialty food. So, you usually can get excellent white asparagus dishes almost anywhere that offers them. This was literally the most over-cooked asparagus I have even been served â then it wasnât drained properly so the hollandaise was immediately diluted by the standing cooking water. What a disappointment for my last chance to eat Spargel this Spargelzeit.

Hubertushof is a tiny and lovely restaurant in Ilbesheim (adjacent to Landau, Palatinate, Germany), familiy owned and operated. Decorated with love to the details the restaurant welcomes every guest in a warm and cosy manner. The chef is creating delicious variations of a modern cross-over cuisine based on local traditionial specialities combined with seasonal basics (meat and vegetables). From the starters until dessert (a must is the chocolate cake and the pan-fried vanilla icecream), you can't do nothing wrong in ordering. Vegetarian alternatives are delicious as well. The service is very friendly, attentive but reluctant at the same time which we liked a lot. The wine list is full of local products and winemakers from sparkling wines to delicious whites, reds and rosés.

Das gleichnamige Hotel haben Sie auf Ihrer Liste!!!
Great little hotel and restaurant. Friendly service - menu in French, English, and German. Staff found someone to help in English when they realized some of our party did not speak German or French. Food was lovely and very nicely presented.

Absolute Weiterempfehlung.

The food was good (although not exceptional), but I expect a restaurant promoting its use of regional products to provide information on the sources for their meat, fish and vegetables. The bread let them down - could almost have been of the pre-baked variety one buys in supermarkets. On the positive side, the service was friendly and patient. The choice of local wines is very good, and the fact that one can try small glasses (125ml) of them all is an added bonus. It certainly seems a very popular place, and appeard to be fully booked with both locals and visitors among the diners.

Very friendly, I think we stood out a bit as this is a 'locals' restaurant but once inside we got excellent service and were happy that the staff (family) knew we ere not local as they advised and were happy to 'show and tell' a real gem of a restaurant....

Excellent food and service. View was beautiful. I would highly recommend eating there if you are in the region. Wine selection was also excellent.
