This is one of top two places to remember people who sacrified during Korean War. Must-visit place for locals. It's also decent place to rest. Very popular during spring and fall. - It is said this is really crowded during Memorial Day (June 6). Better to avoid if you're a tourist. - From late March to early April, it feels more like a public park with flowers like cherry blossoms. Good to take a walk along hillside, too. - Accessible from Dongjak and Old Banpo Stations.

This is a well kept and somber place that has a haunting sense of beauty to it. I went during the summer and it was extremely clean and manicured. It is a quiet place for those to remember the fallen soldiers from all of the countries that sent soldiers to Korea.

We visited in the winter. It was a very peaceful walk away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Lovely.
