Lazio (UK: /ˈlætsioʊ/, US: /ˈlɑːtsioʊ/; Italian: [ˈlatsjo]; Latin: Latium) is one of the 20 administrative regions of Italy. Situated in the central peninsular section of the country, it has almost 5.9 million inhabitants – making it the second most populated region of Italy (after Lombardy and just a little ahead of Campania) – and its GDP of more than 170 billion euros per annum means that it has the nation's second largest regional economy. The capital of Lazio is Rome, which is also Italy's capital and the country's largest city.

Unique in the province of Rome, it is now easily accessible thanks to the recent paving of rural road . The visit of the caves is extremely impressive for the richness of stalactites , stalagmites , sinkholes , and rooms for the observation of cave fauna , particularly bats , amphibians and even micro and typical mesofauna of such structures . The cave extends in length rather than in depth enabling a relatively easy access . Outside you can enjoy a green area with a characteristic bridge bypassing the stream that comes from the cave there natural stone arch leads from which the site is named .
My apologies if I fill this out wrong, I can't seem to get this page to display in English. This place is truly awesome, whether you go with friends, family, or a school group. The latter is definitely the best though, as I think to get the full experience you should have some great teacher tour guides like my group did. There's geology, archaeology, and even paleontology here, as well as tons of adorable bats and other cave critters. This is definitely a treat for the science-minded and adventurous!

Mammoth caves composed of rocks dating back to the Mesozoic era, discovered in 1926 but not lighted for visitors until the 1980s.
