I have been traveling to Pyatigorsk for over 25 years, first as a student and now as both a tourist and someone who loves Pyatigorsk, its hospitality, friendly people and delicious food. I discovered this restaurant years ago and their Shashlik is the best I have ever had in Pyatigorsk, no doubt. I have bought boneless pork Shashlik here dozens of times without any complaints. Iâve tried other cuts of meat, which were all great, but the boneless Pork Shashlik is the best. I know they say Ðа вкÑÑ Ð¸ ÑÐ²ÐµÑ ÑоваÑиÑа неÑ, but in the case of this restaurant, ÐÑÑÑе не бÑваеÑ.

This is a great Middle East/South Russian Caucas cuisine restaurant . The food here is very good. I put it at joint first with Nostalgie Restaurant as for quality of food but at a cheaper price. I suggest one of the sadj dishes which consist of wood barbecued meats with home made marinades. For Western People don't worry it is not like the usual Western style BBQ. The spices herbs and sauces are Middle East on these dishes. We had the mixed meat consisting of lamb cutlets, beef liver, pork and chicken. All were cooked perfectly and the spices were very well balanced. We also had a warm beef salad which was excellent. Good deserts too. And the portions are quite large. BIG PLUS they have a menu in English. The service is impeccable. Also they have live music and belly dancing shows. Price is very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Highly recomended.

Very good restaurant that serves delicious shashlik, hinkali and other dishes of Caucasian cuisine. The interior design is a bit too pompous - as if you turn out to be in a palace. The TVset spoiled this atmosphere of luxury, as it was showing us some popular Russian music channel. Also it was strange that the restaurant with such an interior has no cloakroom. The shashlik was delicious. I would gladly return there to try some more local dishes.

I have been there before. The proval lake is really amazing. The way light falls there, the way pigeons fly... You should see there and after you should go Proval cafe to get some rest and watch the city Pyatigorsk. Just amazing with my Yulia

My wife, who is from a town not far from Pyatigorsk, adored another restaurant on Kirova, which we have had some superb food, but unfortunately at our visit it was awful, so we decided not to go back. We tried another restaurant which had good reviews, but it was very poor. We had a good look at Pechorin after our walk to Proval. It seemed to be very luxurious and expensive. Luxurious it is. I will come to the cost later. We had a look at other restaurants and decided on Pechorin. I wish we had done it earlier.The restaurant is right opposite the cafe but the only difference is ambience. Same food, same prices, The restaurant had live music and both is surprising, you did not have to pay and the music was of exceptional quality. The pianist played Ludovico Eienaudi, much to my delight. The food was of extremely good quality. The wine list was good, and for the Tsinandali wine, it was very reasonable. Of course on a hot day, I wanted a beer, and it was good. Service was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. The final cost surprised me. It was very reasonable indeed. No more expensive than many other far inferior to Pechorin, and cheaper and better quality than some which are more expensive.
