What a great restaurant......very welcoming with us having three under 3s too. Superb set price menu, drinks and perfect service. We will be going again soon! Thank you for a lovely Sunday evening finishing with a brilliant Latin American band in the performance square.....we stayed with our table all night too......absolutely fantastic!

No matter if you choose the daily fixed menu or the whole menu, it is always excellent. It is located in the courtyard of an old building, plenty of trees (shadow welcome!) and nice coloured flowers. But the food is even better than the environtment. Well cooked vegetables, grilled or in a soup, best grilled squids I have ever had, great fish and meat grilled in a live barbeque... what else can you asked for? A good selection of wines? Yes you have it too. And what about the price? No issues on that. Daily menu just 19eur including everything. And if you choose 'a la carte', 30-40 per person, in line with other alternatives in the village.Every summer we come here many times and we'll keep doing so in the future.

Had lunch here on the strength of the Trip Advisor reviews, nice staff nice place under a tree on a v hot day. Food just ok, not what French food should be. Salad straight from the supermarket and frozen fish. Plenty of similar or better places in the square.

Visited on the Fete Nacionale with my family. 2 menus of 17E and 19E. Pitchers of wine for a few euros. Excellent local Catalan cooking. Gazpacho, sardines, Escargot all fantastic.I guess if there was a complaint, since it was the holidays they were not making Paella. Was fantastic to talk to the waiter about all the pictures of his father playing Rugby. A real family business

Seemingly not the best-reviewed restaurant in Portbou, the choice was sparse on a quiet October lunchtime, so we gave it a go.Pleased to say that we had an enjoyable lunch at a reasonable price. The 15 euro 3 course menu proved good value, especially the starter. We both chose the chicken salad and it was a large plateful and very tasty. The pork and fries was a decent main course, but the bolognaise not wholly appreciated. The included desserts quite ok though. So a decent lunch, in nice surroundings, friendly staff, reasonable bill. Nothing to complain about.

Having had tapas in Spain only a couple of times and being disappointed, I thought we would try again. Choosing Riky's after reading the TA reviews, I was glad we did. The tapas were really tasty, freshly cooked (not the case in other places I have been) and generous portions. The waiter was so helpful I think he may be the owner. He spoke perfect English but politely indulged me with my orering in Spanish, I like to try! We were sat outside to enjoy the view but then the wind changed and it got chilly. He came out after a couple of minutes and invited us to take a window table inside. He really made us feel very welcome. Its about an hours drive but I look forward to returning when next in the area.
