The Cyclades is a group of Greek islands with beautiful, white sandy beaches, rugged mountains and lush valleys. Glamorous Santorini and Mykonos attract the jetset, while lesser-known isles, such as Milos and Naxos, are the perfect places for beach lovers. Ruins, including the 11th-century Dorian settlement and volcanic ash-preserved Ancient Akrotiri in Santorini, amaze those with a bent for ancient history. Sifnos' cuisine wins it admirers. Hydrofoils, ferries and catamarans connect the islands.

What a haven. The best traditional village with great authentic feel of Naxos. I was happy to to come hear on ma around the island tour on the scooter. The village is nearly untouched by the tourists. Immerse in the beauty of village and just wander around the narrow street white washed tiny houses where locals really live. Nice taverns can be found no marble-paved street close to main square. Zevgolis Tower is impressive 17th century tower initially belonged to Kastri family and their coat of arms depicting a lion is on the lintol of the main entrance.

The centrepiece of Emporio is a beautiful piece of greek architecture, on the way to Perissa it is worth a quick stop off and also take a walk up to the Venetian castle.

Pyrgos is truly a magical and a charming village which should be visited while in Santorini. Traditional architecture, white houses, galleries, shops. We liked aimlessly wander the winding narrow streets. And as a bonus nearly without tourist. Compare to Fira or Oia it is heaven. Relaxing place. We just sit on the top of Kastleo, winding down and enjoyed the view and the atmosphere. To get here is about 20 minutes from Fira or Perissa beach.

This old venetian fort acts as a wave break between the open sea, and the Old Port of Naoussa. It seconds as a phenomenal sight seeing opportunity - you can walk across the storm break wall, right into the fortress! Peer through the seven cannon ports that used to defend this Port in the 15th century. Appreciate the fishing port, and the quaint activity of Naoussa perched along wall standing amongst the Sea. Highly recommend!
