We always try to stop in Cripple Creek when going through Colorado. It’s a lovely Mining town steeped in history. Complete with loads on old buildings full of unique Stores, restaurants, hotels and casinos. The Brass Ass Casino has achieved mixing A casino within a historical building. Keeping many of its the old charm and atmosphere intact. We really enjoyed the experience, drinks were great, friendly helpful people. There is a buses that runs from Colorado Springs a couple times a day if you do not want to drive, Or better, stay the night at one of the wonderful hotels in the area. Enjoy the awesome Mountain View’s.

A near annual trip of ours has been to go to Cripple Creek and stay in J.P. McGill's hotel. The rooms are reasonably priced, nicely furnished, have good Internet connections and ready access to the casino floor. Tied to the hotel are down home restaurants that are short on price although good for the palate. Those playing the slots at any one of the Triple Crown Casinos (JP McGill's is one) can earn points and earn significant discounts on their room and/or their meal costs. Highly recommended although Cripple Creek does not come with the flash or shows of higher end casino locations.

We love the hotel upstairs of Casino. Rm 123 is our favorite. The Steakhouse is fabulous. The restaurant in the casino is good too, but not as good as the Steakhouse. The staff recognizes us now and we never have trouble getting drinks while gambling. The slots usually pay enough for us to play and have fun, We go a couple times a week. The Ice Sculptures and Ice Slide is still standing in the rd. Heated smoking area with benches on the street. Great for people watching.

My cousin won $80 on a slot machine in five minutes. Nice. Played blackjack and we were both up quite a bit and finally walked away up $10 each there. I like it especially with a $2 Tuesday blackjack table. I will definitely come back here.

Very entertaining! Great selection of slots, video poker and table games. You can get an adult beverage if you ask at the bar but no servers working the floor that I saw. Guess we should have asked sooner! Loved the free parking garage!

Truly enjoyed the atmosphere at the Christmas Casino! The decorations are very tasteful and the music is a good mix of old and new radio hits as well as Christmas music. My wife and I stayed at the Imperial Hotel before it was reopened as the Christmas Inn. Clean, comfortable rooms and absolutely oozes the history of Cripple Creek!
