Stopped for dessert last pm. The st Lawrence waters brush up under balconey for a beautiful view . The cheese plate was a pleasant surprise on the menu. The cheddar was studded with scotch bonnet peppers and while more crumbly than American cheddar it was tasty. The goat cheese with sorrel spread on toast points with a chutney were good as well. The favorite though was blue cheese . Unusual to find such great cheeses in island . We learned today that cheese on board means wow and our stop at castaways proved it . Parking is across the street and just need receipt to show you went to restaurant.

Contemporary food with a Bajan twist. Great food and cocktails in a friendly café-style outdoor setting. "Sea Ya" at Dover Beach
Everything curry here is fantastic! Had the chicken a couple of times, fish, best macaroni pie...Cooking was a bit inconsistent as one night was so salty - so be mindful if cutting back on salt. Excellent food at great prices though. Fun outdoor atmosphere for casual evening.

We wandered here in between meals for a snack and ended up sharing patties and a jerk chicken dinner. The food was all excellent and fresh . The jerk was not as spicy as I would have liked , but very good nonetheless. The ambiance left a little to be desired in terms of being a stylish cafe, but it was very clean and current. Would definitely return

The location is a big plus on a deck sheltered by several sails right over the Caribbean sea just below. At lunch there is usually a pleasant cooling breeze but request a table right next to edge of the deck. Champers offers a set three course menu for lunch at a cost of about BBD90 which is very good value indeed.!! The meal I had consisted of vegetable spring rolls , tortellini stuffed with ricotta and a generous mango sorbet. Impossible to criticise except for the fact that the bottled mineral water was not served cold which really should not happen in such a restaurant.!! My wife ate a la carte and had ceviche , chicken curry and creme brule which were all of a high standard although better curries are available at other restaurants on Barbados. Definitely worth a visit. Champers is on the main south coast road near the Accra Beach Hotel and just past Hastings and there is plenty of free parking just opposite the restaurant entrance. Will definitely return although unfortunately it is about 32 kilometres from where we are staying and the traffic can be slow depending on the time of day.!! Champers is certainly amongst the best 5+ restaurants on Barbados.

Some of the best food we had while in Barbados, an excellent range of starters a great choice of main meals , although all our party had fish and good choice of desserts . The service was excellent and we were seated overlooking the bay.Thank you so much for your excellent review!! Really appreciate it and we hope you join us for a lovely rooftop dinner again soon

Soooooo everyone said come here for breakfast. We came. Arrived at 9am. Granted no reservation. We were sat at 9:17. Not bad. They took the order about 15 mins later. Itâs now 11:24 and of the 5 of us. Only two have received our meals. Ohhh and one of us didnât get cutleryIâm not sure if they are either understaffed or have too many tables to manage the rush but something has to give and today it was service. Service gave way under the pressure. At 11:25am. 2 more came. Still missing one. Bliss was honestly not blissful today.

We stopped here for lunch as we passed it a few times and remembered good reviews. It was fine. I asked for chicken strips. I think I got pork. The fries were fresh for sure! "Special" potatoes were just seasoning salt covered. Jerk chicken panini looked good that spouse had. Fairly underwhelming.

We have been holidaying in Barbados since 2004 and Harlequin has become one of our favourite restaurants, especially when we have stayed in St Lawrence Gap. But let me assure you it is worth coming from farther afield to enjoy the food here. While eating there a fleet of taxis turned up from a distant hotel with I guess 20 people booked in.This year we were staying at The South Gap Hotel, so we had about 10 metreâs walk, which explains why we ate there a lot.Over the years, we have never had a bad meal at Harlequin and their standard is high. We have found them to provide a food experience better than the top rated restaurants in Barbados. If you are undecided ask the waitress they were never wrong.Angela was our waitress on each visit and she needs a special mention. If you were running a top school for waitressing she would be the Headmistress or senior lecturer, she was just perfect in every way.Thank you Angela from both of us.
