Reviews on Caribbean food in Sosua, Puerto Plata Province, Caribbean. Sosua is everything you want a beach town to be. Clear waters teem with coral, perfect for snorkeling and diving. Above sea level you’ll find multicolored sands lined with beach shacks. This small enclave of the Dominican Republic was once a haven for Jewish refugees. Historic sites and synagogues offer great perspective on Sosua’s postwar identity. On a lighter note, a community of ex-pats helps fuel a boisterous, international nightlife scene.

The restaurant "Al Porto" offers various and delicious dishes of Italian and international cuisine. Two kiosks on the sides of the infinity pool create an ideal atmosphere for a romantic dinner for two or a small family celebration. The pool opens the per
While visiting Sosua Ocean Village we decided to ask for pizza in this restaurant. For our surprise it was one of the best we have ever tasted. Perfect dough lots of toppings JUST THE PERFECT MIX at the right price. You have to try the "mamma mia" and the prosciutto cotto". Excellent customer service, they even sent it out to our studio apartment. Way to go Al porto!! We will be visiting again.

Baia offers the complimentary full breakfast, the main course following a fruit platter and a pastry basket. Lunch and dinner are both served. Great fish which you can witness being brought to the restaurant by local fisherman. Something for everything pizza, mozzarella selection, lobster, excellent piece of sirloin. Good cocktails and a fairly priced wine selection

Michael's is a little hidden spot up in what we call the balcony that overlooks the bay of Sosua, very known by locals around the community as our grandfather (Michael) build a little bridge from the side of the restaurant to a a big rock that is on the w
Without a doubt, the best meal I have had to date in the Dominican Republic, with an amazing view! Great food choices, though no parking or special amenities...if you're looking for 5-star comfort or' Chicness'...this is not it. The food and view and service makes up 50 times for air conditioning, etc.

We find it very very difficult to believe that there are 20 restaurants in Sosua that are rated higher than this gem. Andre, the German chef is outstanding in the kitchen, to say the least. Four of us went for dinner on the recommendation of a friend. To keep this review simple, the food was delicious, the service was prompt , friendly, professional and courteous. Although schnitzel was not on the menu, Andre agreed to make it for my husband, who raved about it. Our entire group was delighted with their culinary choices. This is a genuine hidden gem, do not miss it! Great value, dinner for four with drinks, less than $100 USD. Lots of ambience, roomy, well furnished, without a doubt has to be one of the top three places to eat in Sosua. Definitely the best place we have eaten in three weeks in the DR.

We enjoyed our Poutine there, after a long walk from Bluebay villas We just had an issue with bill. We paid in Canadian, and bill was way too high. 5 attempts at a simple bill of 5 poutines and 2 beer. In the end we still gave $4 Canadian too much even after bill. Easiest way to upset customers when you cant do simple math.
The Tree House Bar & Grill is your neighborhood American-style bar and grill for GREAT food, awesome views as well as THE PLACE to watch American Sports. NFL, NBA, MLB and more. Stop by and let us make your Sosua experience truly memorable.
Keep going back for more the staff are very good and Sherman the owner is a brilliant host. First time went for lunch have also now been for dinner always better than you remember and the cocktails are worth trying itâs the best on the beach and wound highly recommend a visit i know my response has been long coming, but please forgive. However, thank you so much for visiting treehouse, and giving us the opportunity to be of service.... thank you very much.... Sherm. Much Love and Peace always.
The Mofongo King is one of the nicest and poshest bar cafes on Sosua's main beach. The place is clean, modern, well-attended, and the staff is excellent. And, while both the food and drinks are fantastic and reasonably priced, it's the beach and the passersby that are the real stars of the show!

This man. His food. The positive vibes. The beach. The love. Stopping in for a meal at Moshaâs just makes sense. After walking the entire length of the beach and feeling extremely uncomfortable with most shops, Moshaâs was a real breathe of fresh air. Didnât have to âsell usâ into coming in like everyone else. When you walk by you will naturally be drawn in. The food was HOT and FRESH and DELICIOUS. The staff was very polite and courteous. In short, thereâs no better place to have a meal on the beach. Thanks again Mosha, weâll see you soon.christopheraX656MR, lol maaaan you know something your response on that video when i asked you about the food and what negative people and my competitors are saying was real it blew me away because i have never seen so much passion from a customer for the love of my food you inspire me to do better brother and i want to thank you.You know what was good too you guys was willing to wait, and no matter how much i stressed the time on this page and else where people never get it they still come expecting 10 minute meals ..which we do not prepere ,every thing is prepared fresh nothing is pre-prepped thats why it takes time.Thank you for your time and patience brother...one love
