This restaurant at Le Cap Est has a lovely setting. The food is acceptable although the portions are small and it is very pricey. The service, however, is terrible. It takes forever to proper simple food. The staff does not seem to care. Avoid this restaurant.

Chez Milo is a cozy family restaurant located in a small street beyond Le François port. Recently renovated it has now a clean simple decor. Cuisine is correct, you find fresh products cooked with home knack like octopus fricassee, blaff, grilled marlin or snapper. The room is often full of regulars. Itâs always a good sign.

Pizzas, African and Creole dishes, grilled meat, cocktails, everything you need to spend a delightful night in a calm restaurant with 2 terraces for smokers and a large room.
Dosta pizza is a little isolated, being at the side of the road between Le Francois and Le Vauclin. However, it was fairly close to the hotel we were staying in. The external appearance is not very impressive. The exterior has a simple basic look, and the building has a corrugated metal roof. The interior furniture is equally simple and unsophisticated. However, the welcome from the lady proprietor was very warm. We discovered that the menu contained a lot of African dishes, of which we knew nothing, but we decided that we would try some. We were pleasantly surprised, and enjoyed the evening, and the price was very reasonable. We would recommend this restaurant to others.

We arrived for dinner after having corresponding with a general manager who apparently left the hotel two days before we arrived. The restaurant was super accommodating in ensuring that our pre-planned (vegetarian) menu would be available to us. The restaurant was super nice and the food delicious. We had an incredible meal. The hotel and restaurant are located at the end of a deserted road which is pretty dark at night so you might consider going during lunch.

Kai Nono is an institution in Le François. Situated right in front of the marina itâs an ideal stopover before or after boat trips. Kai Nono uses a tested recipe : fast service, functional but not unpleasant setting, a limited menu with classic specialties like ti punch, accras with veggie, grilled snapper or fish court-bouillon. Efficient.

To be honest, getting there was more 'interesting' than the lunch. The winding drive up and up is not for the faint of heart and downright scary at times. It was found by a combination of google maps, perseverance and passing drivers. The owner is charming with no English and the elevated location offers good views especially to the east. Lunch is served from a deck so everyone has a view.
