If you are looking for a restaurant which provides a great setting on the waterfront, staff who go out of their way to ensure that your eating experience is a pleasurable one, then you must visit Sails. The food was excellent, even our tow boys who are very fussy could find no fault. I would strongly suggest that you treat yourself and book a table at this restaurant before you leave the island, worth every cent. Our team is thrilled to have received such kind remarks. We had a lovely meal sampling the tapas where dish after dish kept appearing from the kitchen. We were able to try so many different tastes and flavours including the national oildown which was lovely. Loved the Callaloo soup, fish cakes, cucumber fritters, stewed pumpkin and cheesy papaya not to mention the plantain, eggplant and green banana salad plus some tasty fish and stewed pumpkin. A delicious fresh ginger juice I wish I knew how to make and a lovely perfectly sized piece of fruit cake washed down with their local schnapps finished it off perfectly. Warm and friendly service and a great way of trying an amazing assortment of local delicacies. Excellent value too.Thank you

We stayed at the Calabash and ate at Rhodes four times. Food was very good, tasty, properly seasoned and served at the correct temperature. Michael, the maitre d' is a perfectionist (in a good way), and we met his son, Miguel too. All of the staff were professional and respectful of our pace at dinner. Based on prior comments, they must have made some recent improvements to the wine list, and we saw several bottles at $35, not bad! Each night they had a different local musician playing in the background, and we enjoyed that very much. So romantic....It is a beautiful setting on the beach, so an after-dinner stroll is the perfect way to end the meal.BKR1Thank you for this lovely review, It is great that we were able to empress you so many times during your stay. We indeed try to take all comments into account, and so we are pleased that you were happy with our wine selection. We hope to see you again, so please come back to lovely Grenada soon.Regards from the whole team,Zack

Was extremely disappointed with our lunch sandwiches today. Friend and I ordered a BLT each. The bread was not toasted properly, we both opened our sandwiches to see the bacon and to our horror , it was little sprinkles of bacon . For the price you pay , it's absolutely disgusting. I asked to speak to the owner , whom is a fellow South African to be told she's not available. Sadly I didn't have my phone with me to take a photo. Dear Angela, I am so sorry you had to have this experience in the Cafe. If you addressed this to the staff, they know that if you have a complaint, it should be directed to me, if I am not available to refund your money or redo the order. I had just arrived back from overseas and had a few problems which I thought had been ironed out. If you do come back this way, please let me know, and I will refund your meal, or make another one to your satisfaction. Again apologies.

For good pizza on Tyrell Bay, Lazy Turtle is the place to go. If you are not a pizza fan, you might be disappointed. I ordered Lambi fitters, which were light on the Lambi (conch) and a little greasy, plus seafood chowder, which was ok. The others all had pizza and I tried a slice, which was good. My advice is, stick with the pizza at Lazy Turtle!

... I had the worst meal (if you could call it that) that I've had in a 6-week trip in the Caribbean and I haven't been eating in upmarket places. Don't be fooled by the menu on the website which I thought looked fabulous - that, I was told, is only Friday and Saturday. The menu I was presented with had the choice of 4 ok-sounding starters and 4 mains: burgers, fish n chips, chicken & some pasta dish for veggies. I mean, how exciting is that? Not. I opted for chicken. I don't come to the other side of the world for food I can get on my doorstep: fish in batter (my local chippie does a good job). So not their local mahi mahi or lionfish - nope, none of that. So I go for chicken local style ... unimaginative but usually good, I think. How wrong can you get? Dry, tough n leathery. The chips were no better than 4 out of 10. I didn't order the dessert - by then I'd lost the will to live. Trapped inside an old stone roundhouse with a tree in the middle. Stylish maybe, and cosy for a British winter Sunday lunch. But on a perfect evening in the Caribbean with a to-die-for blood red sunset, there are only two tables outside, both of which were taken. I wanted to cry before I saw the menu, I wanted to howl after I saw it. And I only just made it back to where I'm staying in Tyrrel Bay (take my advice, go there!!) before my insides reacted in distress too.I’m really sorry you were not happy just to be clear we do a break down menu on Wednesday which is on our website which I know you saw because you booked on line you did not book a outside seating,we don’t have any pasta dishes on any of our menus we did not have any Mahi Mahi on and we certainly don’t ever do lion fish if your food was not to your liking I’m sorry about that you could have send it back or tell your waitress about it where on the menu did you see chicken local style

Gorgeous outdoor setting with a view of the beach and harbor. Immaculately clean. Staff was friendly, helpful and quick. Drinks were libated and delicious. Seriously the best food we had all week. The sticky ribs are sweet and tender. The Roti was absolute perfection. The shrimp tacos are huge - more like burritos - with fried schrimp, slaw and delicious sauce. The batterered butterfish sandwich was the best fried fish I've ever tasted and the sauce was out of this world. Next time we go to Grenada we will stay at Calabash.Cox1,So pleased that you enjoyed the food so much! During Lobster season the Lobster taco is also amazing, so we definitely look forward to you trying it when next you come and stay at the Calabash.Until then we hope you keep dreaming of our lovely seafood and sweet sea breeze!Regards from Sunny Grenada,Zack
