On a recent visit to Saltspring, we ate dinner on the deck of Seaside Kitchen, looking at a spectacular harbour view and eating their delicious halibut and salmon entrees and creme caramel dessert. Our meal was accompanied by a bottle of good, reasonably priced wine. We enjoyed our experience so much that we came back the next day for lunch and shared a halibut burger and plump, tasty Saltspring mussels. HIghly recommended.

We did not stay or go in, just stopped and took pictures. It is very roustic with beautiful yards and nice view. The staff that saw us we very kind and helpful.Thank you for your nice comments. What an incredible meal ... tucked away in beautiful remote British Columbia. If you are ever fortunate enough to be visiting Salt Spring Island in BC, you absolutely MUST have dinner at Twig & Buoy. The food is beyond sensational (honestly the mushroom risotto was the best risotto I've ever eaten!); you can take your pick between a phenomenal pizza or an amazing main course and ... well don't even think of leaving before devouring the creme brulee (I insist!). Aside from it being incredibly delicious, the only way to describe the food is that it's made with love! The fact that I know Twig made my risotto herself, and that she blow torched the sugar on to my brulee standing right next to me was amazing! And Buoy made my pizza with such passion! They'll chat to you, share the stories behind their sensational farm to food offering; and if you're lucky you'll even get a hug before you go. You can't visit Salt Spring Island without dining at Twig & Buoy ... just tell them Paul the Australian sent you!Paul... we're humbled. Thank you for such lovely praise. Our waitress had either put in too long of a shift or was in a bad mood. I had asked for the Pho and she told me they were all out, yet 10 minutes later the table next to us ordered and was served some. She also didnât fill our water glasses once.

We stopped here for a refreshment after touring the island. Great Martini selection and some local beer and wine. The appies were nice but we did not eat from the main menu. We visited on a Saturday evening for dinner, when the restaurant featured a performance by Sapphire Blues. Not only was the dinner delightful and the service attentive and personal, but we were surprised by the way people went out of their way to make this feel like a community place, even though most of us were temporary visitors.

You have to purchase your food at the counter here and while waiting you pass giant cases of yummy baked goods. So may options! The soups are delicious. The baked goods are very good. The coffee nicely made though the chai latte was quite bitter today.
