While visiting the Montreal area recently I had a chance to go to L'Oeufrier in Valleyfield. We were lucky to get there just before the lunch crowd. The place looks great and clean. The wait staff were superb, never had to request a coffee re-fill. The food was above my expectations. The new young owner even came by for a quick hello at the table. I had an omelet and on recommendation asked for two types of potatoes. Yum yum yum. Couldn't finish it all. I also witnessed two young men sharing the $30. Poutine. Lots of fun all around. A great experience, great food.

A flavourful breakfast, beyond my expectations. Each breakfast was not only delicious, the presentation invited you to eat it. I regretted not taking a picture before I started. The added bonus was that it was served by friendly and polite staff. We will definitely detour this way again when travelling, just to make sure we have a good enroute breakfast. The restaurant is clean and welcoming. We will recommend it to anyone looking for a good breakfast restaurant on their way to the westbound 401.

Friday we went to Amir, I was surprised by my visit to the restaurant. Last time we went the service was bad, the food was poor with no taste. They sold the place and the new owners are really good. They are welcoming, had over 10 kinds of salads and the portions are really big. The place looked clean and the food tasted good and it was hot!!! They did not charge me for the extra garlic sauce. Great job, hope they keep it like that. Going back for my lunch breaks for sure

The restaurant is a part of the Hotel Plaza. Included in the room charge is a free wine or a free beer for each with dinner. The food was excellent as was the service. And all for a very reasonable price.Hi again Warren W!Thank you for this comment! Its nice to know you liked your dinner at our restaurant!Pleasure to welcome you again,The front desk team

The hotdogs and poutine are awesome. Generous servings. Wifey and I each ordered a hotdog (steamed of course) and regular sized poutine- the curds... so many!!!! Price is right for a quick lunch. All ladies working there when we visited- no wonder their service was so fast and efficient!

This restaurant has a great menu, well known for its fantastic breakfast offerings, it is also great for lunch. The service is friendly and welcoming. Very clean, well managed, very good for families with kids and older couples. Highly recommend it.

Went to this restaurant as it was on the water and seemed like a new interersting place to have an afternoon lunch. Was not very busy and the menu looked good so we decided to try.The venu was beautiful (hence the extra star that this restaurant deserves) but the service was painfull slow (45 minutes to get our food), this despite the restaurant being almost empty. The food was ok (actually, the burger and poutine were fairly good although the food temperature could have been hotter). The penne pasta carbonara had little to no flavor, same note on the caesar salad (flavorless) and they had a cream of leak soup that tasted odd. When we asked our server, she insisted that it was made correclty (turns out that they'd used the green leafy portion of the leak and it made the soup taste odd and bitter). the soup was completely green (usually The addage that the customer is always right does not seem to apply here. We received precious little attention during our meal to see if we were enjoying it. I had to pipe up to be heard (again, there were almost no patrons). When we addressed our concerns, the waitress was very defensive and offered no apologies (and despite the fact that the soup was returned, we were still charged for it). Shameful! This restaurant could be so much more and this 4$ soup made the diffirence between our coming again or not. Guess not. This should have been re-imbursed without question. I'd ask that the owner contact us via Trip advisor. Not acceptable! There are so many other fine dining venues nearby that you may want to sidestep this one completely (if only for the blatent disregard for its customers).

Try to find a restaurant in the area open to service you and it was very difficult remember this is not Montreal! This restaurant was closed but could you beleive it! They opened just for us, albeit the grill was closed they still wanted to please us and offered us a love let selection of fish or meatballs form their life lunch menu!Food was delicious, service was excellent and the place was really loveley! I would go back their in a New York minute! Thank you guys it was memorable!
