A staff member from our hotel recommended coming here to get the best maple syrup as well as maple ice cream. It is located in the old section of town and you will not be disappointed. They claim to use only natural products and you can taste the difference in the ice cream made with maple syrup only and no added sugar. Itâs the Best maple ice cream in Montreal. Highly recommended but keep in mind that you may have a long line since itâs a busy place visited by locals and tourists alike.

Tried it for the first time, it is better than St-Hubert, but not as good as Cote St Luc BBQ. The chicken was OK, tasty, a little greasy, good fries and sauce, cole slaw was boring (all competitors are better). Service super fast, in and out in 5 minutes or less, and this while there were a half-dozen other customers. Good value for the money

Inspired by Parisâs golden-era brasseries, Brasserie 701 welcomes you in a chic decor with its grandiose neo-classical architecture and a lively ambiance. The kitchen serves French brasserie classics from breakfast through supper every day, with brunch se
We came here for brunch on a rainy Sunday. We were able to get in without reservations, but the restaurant was very busy. I will definitely book ahead next time, and encourage everyone to do the same. The food was great. I had the two eggs plate with bacon, sausage, ham, pork spread and baked beans. (I thought you just pick one but you get it all, plus potatoes and toast. I think the weekday breakfast is a bit smaller) My husband had the smoked salmon bagel. He was expecting a few greens on the side, but the bagel comes with is a decent-sized salad. There was plenty of food, and it was all very delicious and reasonably priced. We will be back!

Jellyfish is a large, bustling downtown restaurant with a lively atmosphere. The décor is modern, but the extensive glass, ultra-high ceilings and bar made it noisy and not the place for quiet conversation. The menu is very inventive, and the dishes can be eaten individually or shared tapas-style. We particularly enjoyed sharing various crudos, the heirloom tomatoes carpaccio and the grilled halibut. The wine list was extensive and eclectic. The specialty cocktails were inventive and enjoyable. Overall, it was definitely a fun experience that we would repeat if we return to Montreal.

Four star French classic restaurant located in Old Montreal.
We were walking around old montreal and came upon this lovely restaurant. Fortunately they had a table but I would recommend getting a reservation. Lovely ambiance and nice feeling here. Staff were very friendly and very professional. I had the scallops and my husband had the steak tartare. Excellent. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is 5 star, service quality everything. This terrace literally has the best view in all of old montreal. We went during the day but its most spectacular at night time. Then ferris wheel tour in the distance is lit up at night and you can see the moonrise too over the water. Just a beautiful view at night. They have heat lamps over the bar itself. Plenty of seating. The staff was accomodating, friendly. The place is busy it seemed all the time, mid week afternoon or evening, i can see why, truly a great view. We had an appetizer the first day, the rest of the time, just drinks. Good selection.

I will never eat an oyster as good as the oysters I ate last night. Amazing. Every bite of our main and starters were completely incredible. The skill of the kitchen is mind blowing and every dish had a mix of textures and tastes that were a delight. Think biting into a dish and closing your eyes in rapture. We had the octopus and oysters with charisma to start, followed by the duck and guinea fowl. Service was perfect. Water service impeccable. Wine list by the bottle pricy and extensive. More options for wines by the glass would be nice. Desserts slightly underwhelming but maybe we ordered badly. The savoury courses were so fantastic I think the bar might have been set too high. We would completely 210% recommend especially if staying in the Vieux Port.

Bidon offers the perfect place to enjoy Montréal bistronomy in the heart of Saint-Lambert. Ridden by a young talented and dynamic team. The unpretentious menu offers a menu of great generosity and authenticity. Going through the classic bistros updated, t
We we running late for lunch and arrived with 15 minutes before the kitchen closed on a Thursday. The server however was very accommodating and reviewed the specials with us as well as their beer options. I settled on the large beef tartare as I was famished. It was served with shoestring fries which I really liked as well as a simple salad of greens with a lovely dressing. The tartare was great and I loved the condiments on the side that I could add to taste. For $19 I found it a very good deal for the portion received served with sides. My companion had a sandwich for $17 and and seemed to enjoy it. I was so engulfed in my tartare I truthfully forgot to ask!! My house wines were $6 and his beer $8. Despite the kitchen being closed we were still welcomed to another round of drinks and were kindly asked if we wanted them to rummage up any dessert which we declined. Considering we missed the lunch crowd by arriving just before 2 Iâm not sure if the service is always so great or if we were spoiled. Iâd love to return again to find out!Hello Karen!Thank you for leaving us a review, it is very appreciated. We are glad that you and your companion enjoyed your experience at Bidon. We are also really happy that you enjoyed our famous beef tartare.Looking forward to serving you again this summer!

Enjoyed a business lunch this past week at Cru. Oysters are heavily featured. I opted for the salmon tartare that was very enjoyable. The restaurant is a little pricey but the food is high quality. Service was friendly but not over the top.
