Spoiled by some of the new craft breweries that serve up creative pub fare, it was somewhat disappointing at Bien Malt, expecting to be able to make a dinner of our beer exploration. There was no flight of beer disappointment here: my favourite being Panache (a golden beer made with maple water/ subtle and repeatable). The cheese/charcuterie with dried fruit and almonds offered delights from a deli we visited to buy some take home after, but still not enough for a meal; the veggie panini was just not enough to complete a dinner. Maybe next time.

Central Café is a nice place for a dinner in Rimouski. The house is nice and the staff is efficient and friendly. There are several rooms so even if there are a lot of people, you don't have the feeling it is crowded. There is also a nice terrasse. The menu proposes a broad choice of Italian dishes, some of them are prepared with local ingredients. The food was excellent and very tasty. The price was very reasonable for this quality of food.

Place is a little bit on the small-side, but the menu is great, there is a whole page of burgers options, even with game meat like lamb, boar and venison! Tasty combinations, also choice of home-made chips instead of fries! Beer selection is normal. Located right onto the main street in the downtown area.

A nice place to eat and drink
The second restaurant in the region. Only 4 choices of meal at noon but all the choices were interesting. Great, friendly and quick service. Great selection of local breweries and beer. Love it! A must stop in Rimouski!

Come savor a delightful creation at Bovino Grill. They are open at night from Tuesday to Sunday. You can get there not only by public transit but also by car. The surrounding location is memorable for its parks and merchants.
It was really good, with a great atmosphere and friendly service. Modern decor with a glass wall when you walk in the restaurant that serves as a sort of in-house butcher. You can buy your steaks there to take home. Would go back, and highly recommend to anyone who loves a delicious steak dinner.

Behind the scenes, the food master Philippe Trépanier knows all the secrets of a full-flavored cuisine. The chef will whet your appetite, and delight your senses, putting his multi-faceted skills at the service of our regionâs exceptional products.
Great atmosphere and service, we enjoyed our evening at the restaurant. The staff was welcoming and attentive. The food was good. I ordered the scallops as appetizer, and got 2 small scallops for 20$. The plate was really good but overpriced for the size and content. The bison and filet mignon were OK.I cannot give a 4 as I felt very disappointed with the content and size of the plates. Maybe my expectations were too high because the site is so cute and the reviews are very good.

The food here is exceptional, from the appetizers to main course; the taste is as wonderful as the presentation. Chef Colombe is an artist. She & her team have impeccable delivery. I took the tasting menu, while my spouse chose individual courses. The better value was the a la carte vs. the tasting. Tasting was fun but the portions are on the small side for the price. The wine list is comprehensive and there are no deals, however there are great wines. We chose the Osoyoos Larose 2006, but every country is well represented. Service is very good, you need a minimum of three hours four would be better, donât dress up people are coming off hiking trails or a kayak trek. Children were there though I wouldnât suggest it. Not a ritzy atmosphere, we were in the sun porch section, low key to be sure, the dining room is right next to it and more in the style of the price point. Went a Sunday night and the place was packed as of 7:30. A must if you are driving anywhere near the Gaspé, on your way to the East Coast of Canada & even worth a detour from Charlevoix.

We had no reservation, but it was near Hotel Saint Germain and the menu looked interesting. After the fish soup and goat cheese salad appetizers, I had no room for dessert. My husband savored his oysters and the swordfish special. He enjoyed a selection of cheeses for dessert.

We stayed one night in Rimouski on September 7. We were recommended this little restaurant by the hotel's manager and were absolutely astonished. The food is absolutely wonderful (you have to taste tyheir homemade jam). Service was quick while that atmosphere was pefect.
