Just spent the evening at the Leland hotel restaurant - firstly a beautiful location right on the lake - amazing view - secondly great service! Thirdly and certainly not the least the food we all enjoyed our entrees - amazingly huge portions of deliciousness! Well done Leland - you certainly exceeded our expectations!

Stopped in twice sauturday and sampled some coffee's the first visit, and later in the day the eight of us stopped by and ordered a slice of each type of cakes she had available. We were in fifteen minutes before closing and she decided to give us all the remaining scales to take home free of charge. Very generous and were all delighted with our visit. The food was scratch made and excellent, the location is clean and charming, and the owner and her daughter were engaging and friendly. Highly recommend.

Great Burgers, Fries And Shakes!!
The four of us ordered a veggie wrap, poutine, and a burger. We had ice cream and milkshakes for dessert, which were good, but nothing special. The veggie wrap was the best and most flavorful. The poutine serving is large, so either have that be your meal or share. My one complaint about the poutine is that they didn't melt the cheese. It was cold, chunks on top of the poutine. I ended up picking it off.

I was here to have drinks and buy a friend some food. We sat out on the patio to avoid disturbing other patrons. My friend (who has a sordid reputation) had a Quesadilla and we ordered beer as well. We were having a good discussion and enjoying the afternoon. At shift change we were asked to clear the bill. I paid the bill and continued on with our get together. We had cleaned up some broken glass and were waiting for the new barkeep to ask us if we wanted another drink. My impulsive friend opened the patio door and yelled "Barkeep! Another brew please!" Much to our surprise - a female waitress arrived at the door - not the barkeep we had expected. She engaged in a discussion with my friend without acknowledging I even existed - even though I asked for a beer. She continued ignoring me and instead told my friend we were cut-off! I was completely flabbergasted! I waited a few then I decided to go and discuss the incident. I went into the bar and asked her about being cut-off. She said we had already had 6 beer. I said that was not the case. She was upset about the yelling from the patio, I told her I had not yelled at her and that I was paying the bill - not my friend. She then said she was willing to have a conversation but not in the way I was talking to her. I can assure everyone who reads this that I was being respectful and polite! I then said again did I yell at you? You know who I am. She then stated you have always been great in here but I won't be yelled at. I said again I did not yell at you did I? I then asked if I could have another beer. She then stated again she was willing to have a discussion about the incident but not in the way I was talking to her. This was totally out of line as I was not rude or impolite at all. Then I walked away puzzled about this whole thing. I am sure this was a case of guilt by association. We were the only two patrons in the bar! I will NEVER step foot in this place again - EVER!!Well Clayton, letâs remember there is two sides to every story. We have never felt the need to reply to comments. But after speaking with the three staff that were present to witness your outburst, we have concluded that they acted appropriately in dealing with the situation. ALL liquor servers are required to be certified with a responsible beverage service course. Our staff acted accordingly with the guidelines set out by the Serving it Right program. We stand by our staff and their decision. It is unfortunate that you will never step foot in our business again, however, we feel it is a good idea.

We stopped here on our way from our campground to the ferry just to get some snacks for the road and ended up having a delicious lunch. I enjoyed the Pho and my husband had the lunch combo with Chow Mein, Wings and the meatballs. I also tried the Oriental Coleslaw. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious! Great value, service - we'll be back!

My husband and I went here for dinner while spending the weekend in Nakusp. It was exactly what we wanted. Nice quite atmosphere, delicious fish and chips special, topped off with an old fashioned Dads Root Beer and a very polite, professional young server. A very enjoyable experience!!

This is a cute little spot, with a diner feel. My Egg Bagel was a little lack lustre with a ham omelette plopped onto a buttered bagel, adorned with a sickly tomato slice. For 9$ I expected a better presentation. My guy had the breakfast burrito which was huge but the price reflects the size, and so it's not like you are getting a deal. My latte was okay, nothing to rave home about. I would definitely try out other spots in the area before returning to this little spot. The positive being if you want breakfast after 11 or 12, they have a few all day breakfast items which rocks!

Ate supper. Only one waitress who was super fun in an abrupt small town way when we went in but it was really busy and she soon became angry abrupt! It felt awkward for everyone in the place. Pizza was good but allow plenty of time as only one cook. I am sorry. I experienced a system malfunction. Due to utensil/flatware shortage and an influx of patrons my circuits crossed and my original human emotional programming of panic surfaced. I calculated the ratio of customers to the availability of cutlery and plates, my hypothesis was that there was not enough of these necessary items for the amount of people that were in the establishment (not including the amount of customers that were still coming inside from the rain). Since I am responsible to wash my own dishes, I went into system overload.Contrary to popular belief... even the best server in the world has bad days. What we love more than anything is someone taking our worst day of the summer and plastering it on the internet. I am sorry that I was at work since 6:30 AM. I'm sorry that the rain forced every camper in the area running for shelter and sustenance. I am sorry that you came in 13 hours after I had started work. I am sorry that my frustration, panic and humanity surfaced and made "everyone" feel awkward. Thank-you for your sensitivity and understanding during one of the hardest days of the summer.
