It was just after noon on a Saturday, a busy time for most restaurants, and we were on a tight schedule. Room for 4 adults and an infant seemed unlikely, but we thought it was worth a try.To our surprise, we were seated promptly, and in a particularly appropriate place. An exceptionally pleasant waitress took our orders within a couple of minutes, and despite the constant bustle of the place, the food arrived very quickly.I chose the fish tacos, and was surprised to find that the fish came on the tacos, not in them. I was envisioning a finger food sort of dish. Okay, fine, so it's knife and fork then. Flavour and texture wise, it was most agreeable.Everyone else enjoyed their meals, and it is likely that we will all make a return visit at some point to explore the menu further. The staff were really top notch. The waitress was so attentive, had such enthusiasm and an infectious smile. Well worth a return visit.

Whether you come for a favourite meal or love trying new and trendy dishes, Milestones is all about great food without the pretension. Serving lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, there's something for everyone. Make sure to try our signature drink, the Orig
Did two orders through Skipthedishes in the past week. Prices have really climbed. Quality from the kitchen has really dropped. Both orders had quality issues.First order had a penne chicken dish and the chicken was burnt when it was cooked.Second order had three lobster sliders ($18) and one of the sliders was 1/2 the size of the other two and had about a teaspoon of lobster mix where both the other two had about 1 1/2 tablespoons of mix. Very disappointing. Also, on the second order, had the spinach & artichoke Dip and the tortilla chips were VERY STALE. I threw them out and got some of my own from the cupboard. All in all - the quality on the two orders was very poor.Until quality improves I cannot recommend Milestones at this time.Hi Lyle, we are very sorry for the meals you received. We want to have this looked into. Please fill out our short form at reviews.milestonessurvey.com and reference 52371003-LS. We hope to hear from you soon.

A few weeks have passed since my truly unique tour with Chef Shirley Lang. This day was filled with great company, lots of laughs and most importantly...AWESOME food! Breakfast prepared by Chef, including her delicious, homemade made bannock was scrumptious. Lunch at Sheringham Distillery was an exquisite presentation; as well... amazingly tasty. Tastings at Sheringham, Tugwell, Salt West and the fabulous Unsworth were top shelf for service and quality. To top the day off, dinner at O.U.R Ecovillage was a truly unique, Vancouver Island experience with a focus on local food and food sustainability and protection. After a day of being spoiled, it was a pleasure to get my hands dirty and pay homage to the beautiful land that provides us with such a bounty of organic food. Chef Shirley certainly knows how to provide a rare savoir-faire. I would highly recommend Chef Shirley for a day tour or a private dinner.

FYI, I know someone that worked there that told me the owner would instruct the cooks to cut 3 oz portions of halibut (when they sell them based on a 4 oz portion and that is what their menu states). Also, the food is always very greasy and oil seems stale based on the taste of the food. It feels sticky and dirty whenever i've been in there. I would not recommend.

I frequently treat myself to breakfast here when in the area, and love that they offer breakfast all day, including take out as an option.Awesome omelettes, hollandaise sauce, and breakfast potatoes. And donât forget the huge pancakes!Staff are all very friendly and attentive. The only negative I can think of is that I stopped ordering the smoked salmon Benny due to the salmon being way too salty. But there are other great Benny options to be had.

Usually the food here is pretty good. I ordered the Jackâs Homemade Cheeseburger with Fries. The Burger came with the usual Lettuce and Tomato, Pickle, Onion, Burger Sauce, Cheese and Onion Rings on top.The Bun was toasted. The Beef Patty was too mushy. It broke apart too easily. The Burger Sauce was nothing special. The most annoying thing about this Burger was the giant greasy Onion Rings on top. They were so big and greasy, that you couldnât properly taste the Beef Patty. They should do away with putting them on top of the Burger, or just do away with them completely. The Fries were nice and crispy. I have enjoyed other items on the menu at Jackâs, but this Burger was just ok. Service was good and prices were reasonable.

This is a older pub thatâs gone through a couple of incarnations and is a little rough around the edges but the food is great from the appetizers to the main courses (the deep fried pickles are awesome!). Weâve always had great and friendly service but tables may be a little hard to find most nights as the place fills up pretty quickly so get there early.

Absolutely perfect breakfast stop! Huge portions of quality food, heaps of choice and good value. The fruit bowl with yoghurt and granola was amazing and the pancakes were a hit too! The waiting staff work are super friendly and work so hard - itâs such a busy, popular place. We went on a Saturday morning around 11:30am and had to wait around 10mins for a table...well worth it! Lots of people having lunch and their food looked great too. âThe Mahoneyâ is basically the chefs choice - a total surprise until it lands in front of you, then you can choose to flip a coin to get it for free...but if you loose you pay double! Quite a quirky idea but we werenât brave enough to try it!
