We have been to this location several times and enjoyed our meals and the service. However recently both have been going downhill, with this last visit most likely being our last. There was one untrained waiter for the entire restaurant. We had food delivered to our table that belonged at the table next to us. Portions of our meal had to be asked for in order that they were brought. Glasses on the table had lipstick stains on them. The sour cream/butter/bacon bits when brought to the table had food in them - unsanitary. The food was satisfactory but nowhere near as good as it had been in the past. Some more wait staff arrived about the time we were finished and we were given a discount on our bill but this still doesn't correct the dirty dishes and contaminated food service, that will deter our visiting here again.

Mountain View Family Restaurant

The Mountain View restaurant is your classic family restaurant. They are most noted for their amble breakfast of bacon, eggs, hash browns, toast and coffee. Many of the local eat their after church on Sunday. In recent years, they have reduced their hours of operation. The many fast foods outlets that have come to Innisfail have had a negative influence on this fine restaurant. If you want something more than fast food; this is the place for you. Call the restaurant (403-227-5959) for hours of operation before you go.

The food is good, the variety is good. The staff were friendly, Joseph the cook and owner does come out of the kitchen and talks to diners, which is a nice personal touch. We usually have the buffet. The times we have order off the menu (hambuger) I could barely eat it all. The burger and fries were hugh, I had to use a knife and fork to eat the burger, as it was just to big to eat picking it up as you would normally do. In addition to the entree, the price includes soup, or salad. Prices are reasonable, one of the better places to eat in Innisfail.

I really enjoy the chopped salad. They are generous with the ingredients. I also like the turkey breast sub. The bread tastes great. Watch out for the up sell at the end of the line to make your salad or sub very costly.

Hometown grill

Reviewed By Brent M

I usually pick restaurant at the spur of the moment after checking to see what my options are. I was driving for a bowl of Pho (That I have had in the past and was very good) when I saw the Hometown Grill and my truck turned into the parking lot. I was greeted right away and seated. I was a bit surprised that there were only a few people in here as is was just after noon.I took a table and ordered an ice tea. A found a few good choices on the menu but the hot turkey sandwich sounded good. The soup of the day was split pea and ham and I don't think I've had split pea soup since I was a kid (and never really liked it then) but I thought I'd try it. The waitress asked what I wanted for a side with my hot turkey and my instant choice for anything with gravy is mashed potatoes. My soup came right away and it was actually pretty good. There could have been a bit more ham but it was good. My hot turkey sandwich showed up shortly after, the turkey was good and they had even cut the crust off the bread it was on which was an added bonus. But the mashed potatoes, not to my taste. Maybe the menu did say they were fried and garlic but I didn't read the side choices so I can't say. But they had been fried after mashing and slightly burnt, but they were also very strong with garlic. My verdict, everything was good except the mashed potatoes. So if you're only coming here for the mashed potatoes, then don't come. But if you want a good hot turkey sandwich and soup of the day, come check it out.

My sister and I ordered take out rib dinners from this establishment. I was there to pick up right on time. The bill for the 2 meals was $ 61.00 and the food was cold , fries were cold, ribs (4 very small skimpy ribs) were next to being cold. It only took me 4 minutes to drive back to our residence so there was hardly any time for the food to cool to that extent. Overpriced and poor quality.Hi, Maggie. We're sorry to hear that the food arrived cold. We take this feedback very seriously and would like to follow up with the team involved. Please share the details at https://bostonpizza.com/contact-us.html so that we can make it better! Thanks.

Persian House Restaurant

Word of mouth is powerful and a few of my friends that live in town said to try it outi went there with an adventurous friend and really enjoyed it. Don't be fooled by the name. they have an extensive menu with north American food also.We had persian food and it had huge flavour and was not overly spiced. The lamb stew is to die for, The rice was tasty and we split a salad. The bill for the salad, tea and the two entrees with tip was $40 which included a small leftover portion. Will definitely go again. The crowning touch was when we were leaving we saw some friends that eat there once or twice a week. She orders Persian and him being a farm boy orders North American food. It was quite busy on a cold week night and I think that says something too. Service was excellent.

Fireside Restaurant

Reviewed By curiousdr

Went for dinner at this restaurant and were less than impressed with the service. I'm not sure if it has changed owners but we have been there several times before with much better service and food. We were not asked if we wanted anything other than water to drink and even had to ask for glasses to drink the water that was left on the table. The restaurant was fairly busy and the servers were running around quite flustered so we expected a longer wait but it still took 45 minutes to get our meal after ordering. The food was okay but not a lot of flavor to the steak or the chicken souvlaki. Had to ask for potato toppings as they were not brought at same time as meals. After we finished our meal we waited and waited and waited some more. Someone did come and take our plates but at no time were we offered dessert or coffee. We had to flag someone down and ask for our bill. We did not leave a tip and explained why to the server. A $45 meal that would have been much more had we been asked if we wanted wine and dessert. We were in Mexico recently and think it would be a really good idea for Canadian waiters and waitresses to go and work at an all inclusive resort for a couple of weeks. The people there work their butts off to provide excellent service and deserve 100% of the tips they receive. Sorry to say but a lot of our wait staff in this country would be going very hungry if they had to survive on what they would earn down there. Sorry to say that we probably will be crossing this restaurant off of our list of place to dine in Innisfail. It's only 25 minutes to Red Deer for a lot more selection after all.
