I grew up eating Ashton poutine, I have eaten poutine all over the Canadian East Coast, up to Ottawa. This is by far the best ever to my taste! Best gravy, salty of course but not excessively so, great dark fries and excellent curds. This poutine ranks up there with Cantine de la gare in Rimouski, and leaves Ashton in a cloud of dust! I do love that they serve the big size in a foil ( recyclable) pan, don't love the cardboard top even if it is recyclable ( the cheese gets melted and glued to it).The personnel however seems depressed to excess... So it's never fun going there, the shack is clean, but that's all, and the location is blah, but a little further off , there are tables by the waterfront.

This restaurant is a local restaurant with a complete menu. Food and service overall good. Parking across the street always available. I enjoy the breakfast menu for omelettes, and also the pizzas and hot chicken sandwiches. I also enjoy soups, some are good but some are too salty. Friendly bilingual service. Good/fair pricing. They deliver locally.

Thiswas not my first time eating at Lâescale. I was very disappointed this time. What has happened??? I thought it a nice day to sit by the water on the terrace, but the wasps had a different idea. The waitress finally came to see us sitting outside , slow to take drink orders. I asked for an iced tea, she said they did not have any. So Then I asked for a lemonade. They did not have that either. Ok how about a diet soda? She brought me a can of diet pepsi...Seriously a can? Anyways we had to go inside as the wasps became too much of an issue to sit outside. I ordered a cesear salad with chicken. My friend ordered a greek salad. We were never offered water to drink. The salad came and that was it. No offer of freshly grated parmesan, no offer of freshly ground pepper, just pepper on the table..The cesear salad dressing tasted like bottled salad dressings. There was way too much of it and I was very disappointed. It felt like we were at a local diner, not a real restaurant. One waitress and she seemed just average, Not a upbeat, fun friendly bubbly kind of waitress. It was $$ for what we got. I would not go back and cannot recommend this restaurant. Something has changed here...I would not waste my $. Next time I would just go across the street to Deja Vu

This restaurant is 2hrs from my home but once a year we meet some old time friends from Ottawa and Montreal for breakfast and we are never disappointed..... the menu offers a great variety of choices whether you are a meat eater, vegetarian or vegan... Atmosphere is nice, Premise is very cleaned service fast and courteous and the food very good and always warm. We will definetely have to come and try their lunch or dinner menu... I highly recommend this restaurant itâs worth the drive!

I have eaten hamburgers all over the country but the taste of Vic's is special .The fries are made fresh every day you know because the taste tells the truthI also had a sandwich special of soup ,sandwich and dessert for 6.75 Try and find that elsewhere

We found this little gem on our way to Mont. Tremblant passing through Hawkesbury. Goodies Restaurant fills you with nostalgia remembering the diners, pancake & waffle restaurants of the 70's and 80's. They even have the cooler display by the front cash where our kids stared at the mile high lemon meringue & coconut cream pies. Making a choice from the menu may be the biggest challenge you will face, everything sounds like it is worth trying. (I think we were hungry) Once we settled no one was disappointed with their meal, large helpings of quality home comfort food. Satisfied and on our way in 35 minutes...certainly recommended.

I have eaten there often and food is great. But be advised never do delivery from them ever!!!! I ordered the ribs from menu for 2 plates 26.00 great offer till you get it. it was tiny and looked like you see pic below. look at size of the sauce next to it give you idea size it a small sauce. don't waste your money... Not the first time they send out for delivery sub par and only serve the good portions and proper cooking on site. ONLY DO DELIVERY IF ORDERING PIZZA that all they seem be able to do for delivery..

Having recently viewed some disparaging reviews on this restaurant, I feel compelled to provide another review (my 3rd) on this establishment. I do not claim to be a restaurant critic but given my background, I believe my comments have some credible merit. In my youth I worked in, and managed a modest restaurant in Montreal (6 years). My son-in-law (ex) owned 2 restaurants in Belgium and 2 in Luxembourg. His LâAppuntamento restaurant in Luxembourg is extremely successful. I have travelled and DINED in over 30 countries in N. America, Caribbean, Europe, Asia, South Pacific and Australasia during my 25 years as an international telecommunications tariffs manager at Teleglobe Canada. My wife and I have lived in this area over 20 years and we eat out a minimum of 3 times a week. We have eaten at every restaurant in the Hawkesbury area. For the last 3 years we will only eat at Dunnâs due to the ambiance, excellent rapport with owner and staff, quality of food (unmatched in the area), consistency of preparation, cleanliness, affordability (prices mostly match all other family restaurants in Hawkesbury). This restaurant is worthy of a 5 stars on Tripadvisor.I refer you to my review from 2016 and herewith provide some further photos of the incredibly unmatched food choices at Dunnâs.

We were visiting family and decided to eat at the "Chateau". Its with regret that I write a negative advisor review. On arrival we were met by the "Greeter" who was great in finding us a table for 6. After that everything went down hill. I have to comment that the other people in our room was a birthday party of about 15 people. We waited and waited for the waitress to come, finally brought menus, and we ordered drinks which came a short time later. Yet another waitress came to get our orders from the menu. It was approximately 35 minutes later that our food arrived. My wife and I had the "Chateau Platter" onion rings, cheese sticks, chicken wings, and Tostitos with guacamole. I manage to eat the wings and onion rings but the rest was left behind. My wife ate her wings and cheese. We were not impressed to say the least. Our bill was just under $180.00 for six of us which included 3 beer and one liquor.Hello, I'm sorry to hear about your unsatisfying dining experience. Can you please give me some more information? When did this occur? Which section were you seated in and what time? Also, Why was the rest of the meal left behind? Please give me this information in order to look into it. We take all comments seriously and work hard to rectify the problem.Thank you for your time.

Nice spot for lunch when driv8ng through Hawkesbury. Nice menu with lots of choices. Our server was very attentive. The food was good an enjoyed by all. The restaurant was very busy for lunch. Would definitely return.
